I live in the mountains... Me and my family live in the Peruvian Andes; city water supply comes from Paron lake at 4200m, where lots of sediments are present, specially during the rainy season. Before using Brita on our faucet, we were suffering from often stomach disorders. Now, it's 3 years ago that we are fine with it, including our 10-month old baby. 06/29/2008

brita pitcher filters bought a three pack of these at local WalMart store, what has happened to the quality of these, I used all three in two pitchers and the 2 gallon refrig. container the last month of the summer, then as fall came on we were not using these items, they were sitting empty but had not had this problem with the first bunch of filters that came from Brita with these pitchers!! went to use them again to filter up several gallons of water to up our storage for the winter, since we live in a rural area and our pump somtimes doesn't work in the cold months and the water tasted moldy!! lo and behold the filters all were moldy!! whats up with that?! why did they mold on us just sitting there in the pitchers? I want new ones!! they were only used long enough to filter about 15 gallons of water between the three containers over the month of July.we have done nothing different than we did with the original filters that came in the pitchers and the two gal container. please advise!?>?? 12/20/2010
