It's a book, a good book, but still just a book. It opens, it closes, it holds a bookmark securely enough to mark your place. It's a paperback, so it's cheaper than the hardback, for which I would never shell out that much money. If I were to give advice hon how to use this product, I would suggest opening it with the binding to the left. This is the beginning of the book. Start reading there, and continue until you reach the end. If you cannot finish reading it in one sitting, use a bookmark to save your place. Bending a corner down will decrease resale value. Depreciation is minimal at this point as the book is already far from its original release/publication date. The content of the book was exactly what I expected, the next installment of the fantasy series beginning with "Eragon," and ending with... OK, I don't know if it will ever end, or the name of the book that will conclude the series if it DOES end. Ask Christopher Paolini, he wrote it. I liked the book, a lot. The author's writing style has improved greatly since his first book, written in his teen years. No spoilers here, I hate those. If you liked this review, you clearly have a sense of humor that includes the comprehension of dry-wit, sometimes also called sarcasm. Netflick "Little Britain." If you didn't like this review, why have you continued to read this far? You have clearly wasted your precious time on something you didn't even like, just as I did with "Tomb Raider, the Cradle of Life." That's over an hour of my life I'll never get back. And where it says how often I use this product, there wasn't an option that said "I've read it, and now I'm done with it." If there were that option, I would have selected it. As previously mentioned, it's a book, not a doorstop. 12/26/2010
Excellent Story Well this is one of the long awaited book for me. Spouse and kiddos have first dibs on this one. Since money is tight. I had to wait until the paperback copy came out... besides it will match the other 2 books in the set I already own. I enjoyed the first 2 books.... so far my spouse says it's excellent. 05/08/2010
I had both the original book, Eragon and the D.V.D. but was unaware of follow up books. While in Wal-mart I saw the advertisement for book 4, Inheritence, which had just been released. I bought book 2, Eldest and was so impressed & caught up that I finished the book in less than 1 week! I immeadiately went online and ordered Brisingr & Inheritence. Have already finished Brisingr!! (managed to stretch it out to almost 2 week read) and have just begun Inheritence. I know I will be sorry to have the story end, but it has been a fantastic read, and one I will always want more of.(p.s. am not a young reader or teen fan...am a 70 yr old grandmother). 03/01/2012
Fantastic Read at a great price! As with all of my orders from Walmart.com, I received my order quickly, and acquired what I desired at a wonderful price.Brisingr is the third book in the Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini: the first two titled "Eragon" and "Eldest". The series is so well-written, suspenseful, inspiring, and absolutely original. It is not often I find a fantasy book that meets all the criteria I look for in a great book: a strong plot, deep and dynamic characters, originality, well-written, and believable.I truly felt as if I were on the journey with the characters, and found myself emotionally invested in the outcome. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy. 09/18/2010
