    Customer Product Reviews

    Rated 3.9 out of 5★ by 152reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by This is a GREAT grill!!! I have had quite a few grills in the past, and this is by far the nicest to cook on!! I've been looking at this grill for over a year and when they rolled the price back $20 to $178 I couldn't resist. It took me about 45 minutes to put together...the instructions were very clear. Mine had no damage at all and it looks great...with all the talks of dents and damage, I picked one with no damage to the box as some of the others looked a little banged was well packed and all the parts were in there and in perfect shape. I do a lot of grilling and while burgers, ribs, steaks, sausage, and hot dogs are on chicken has always been a challenge. I just got done grilling an entire cut up chicken with the skin and it came out best grilled chicken ever!! I cooked it on two burners on low and the flare ups were very minimal due to the burner heat family was very impressed...the chicken breasts were cooked all the way through and the skin wasn't burnt to a crisp. I couldn't be happier, and I can't wait to try steaks and ribs next!! The starter works great both on the grill and the side burner!! This grill is an awesome buy!! 06/30/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Super for my needs I've owned 10+ brands over the past 30 years and find this to be tops so far. Cooking is unbelieveably even, heats up really fast, easy to assemble, excellent instructions, but a couple of minor dings from shipping (no big thing for me). Starter works great but I'd prefer an electronic ignition after having had a super cheap grill that had one. I liked the price and I finally have a grill that my 10 year old rotisserie will easily fit on to. I've found that with every grill I've owned, I've needed to replace the internal parts at least once over the period that I owned the grill. As long as internal parts are available at my local stores in a few years, I plan on keeping this grill for a long ime. My advice: BUY IT! 05/29/2010
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Budget Big Grill So I really needed a new BBQ for the Summer & I did my research online. I bought this one. Yes, I did read the negative reviews here. Now I will tell you why I brought this one anyway. First, I don't have a Truck, so buying in town, seemed out of the question. Second, I have a limited budget. Third, I wanted a 4+ burner grill. Other reviewers issues: I didn't have a problem with assembly, 1 panel was bent in shipping, but wasn't a problem, I don't know about the rust yet(but I live in Las Vegas). Overall, it is a very big, attractive grill, that was within my budget. I plan to use the money I saved buying this one, over a more expensive grill, on better cuts of meat. Still, if you have fancy friends or picky family, you should buy a better one... my friends & family are just happy that I am cooking for them & that the food is great. 05/03/2011
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Missing Parts I purchased this grill through and paid for 1 day shipping. I received my grill a few days later and the box appeared to have been opened. Once I opened the box, I found half of the parts missing. There was a flyer in the box that said to contact Brinkmann for missing parts. I contacted Brinkmann and was told I had to fax in a form with my receipt to request missing parts. I faxed the form and received three of the requested parts and an invoice that said the other parts were on backorder. I also noticed that Brinkmann made no mention of many of the parts I requested. I called Brinkmann the next day to inquire about the missing parts. I was told that some of the parts would take over a month to arrive.I am very dissatisfied with this purchase as I bought the grill on October 15, 2010 and will probably not have all of the parts to it until sometime in December 2010. 11/04/2010
Rated 2 out of 5★ by Had this grill for 2 summers and now it is toast. Burner covers rusted away, one burner rusted away, igniter not working. Normal use once or twice a week, Exterior stainless parts still look great but guts need replacing. Unfortunately you can buy a new grill for what the burners and cover plates cost. Cheap materials that dont last. Will not buy again. 04/30/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by First Impressions Hi folks. This is a short piece of first impresssions. I've just finished putting this beast together and wanted to share a few observations -- haven't even cooked with it yet, need a fresh propane tank first.Overall -- quite good.==Couple of edits inserted to reflect actual cooking experience!Particulars of the upside:Very nice hardware package. Came in a cardboard-backed blister package, very professional looking. Even includes a Phillips screwdriver, which was adequate. I used it for the entire assembly, although a couple times I almost got one of my own with a bigger handle for better turning leverage.Took about 3 hours to put together. It does recommend having two work on it, while I did it mostly solo. Also first time assembling a contraption like this. Mostly easy, see below for gripes. Most of the assembly is the cart/frame body; the grill itself is all one piece, except for the side tray and the side burner. This is a HUGE grill! I have a big family, and I can't imagine needing a bigger grill unless I was regularly throwing cookout parties for 20 or more. And to clear up one point I wasn't sure about -- it is four burners inside the grill, plus the side burner. Wasn't sure if "four burner" was including the side, which my recently discarded pile of rust was. Includes a warming rack. I like the enamel cooktops and heat diffusers, seems to be much more sanitary than bare metal.Particulars of the downside:First and foremost- I would strongly recommend that you attach the tank holder to the bottom tray FIRST. It attaches with 3 plastic rivets, and pegging them in after the cart is together was kind of difficult, especially the rivet that is way inside. The upper heat shield screws onto the back of the frame at two points, but in front it just rests on the frame unsecured (except by the weight of the grill on top), and by barely half an inch or so. Oddly, there are more screw holes, but nowhere to attach them, no extra screws, and nothing in the directions besides it resting on the frame. Adequate but a strange (cheap?) method. The front panel had some dents in the edge/lip. I didn't notice at first because they looked quite neat with a clean square edge, like someone had whacked it with the corner of an angle iron -- I assumed it was made like to fit into a notch into the frame, until I realized there were 3, randomly placed, and no notches for them to fit. Fortunately, the metal was thin enough that it bent back into shape and is un-noticeable from the front.I notice a few other remarks about dents and dings right out of the box.The side trays are two pieces, the flat tray part and the front metal panels. Per directions, these two pieces are first assembled and then mounted. The left tray, which is just a tray was no real problem, but the right side, which is the burner, was. The metal piece, which matches the whole front control strip, is supposed to screw into the frame, but I had a very hard time getting it to line up with the hole. Looked like there might have been some more issues with bent surfaces. Had to jigger it around in place, fiddling with the two bolts in a very tight place (for which a nice flat wrench is provided) -- end result, it is in place and secure, but is visibly out of line with the main body -- not awful, might not even notice it if you weren't thinking about it, but poor engineering. Also on that piece, had a little difficulty understanding how the burner control went together. The directions could have been better. Although in good English (unlike many), it seemed to take a lot of back and forth looking at parts and re-reading to figure out exactly how different bits went together. There were a lot of "It's easy once you know how" kind of moments. The grease catcher seems a bit chintzy and oddly placed all the way at the back, but maybe I'm still used to the old one. The inside burners have just a single igniter, rather than one on each burner -- don't know if that is standard or not - my last didn't have working igniters anyway. Both it and the one for the side burner popped up a big, bright spark. It took a few tries getting it to light, but it is quite windy (and cold!) where I am, so I'll give the hardware the benefit of the doubt there.So-- all this is mostly about putting the bugger together. Forewarned is forearmed. A few minor dings, but no dealbreakers. If I were to buy this again, I might fold and have it professionally assembled.Bottom line -- recommended, especially at the price.Once together, it seems to be a great cooker, very solid and sturdy. I've cooked up two batches of burgers and hot dogs, and it heats up quickly and cooks fast and thoroughly. Gonna go get another burger now, yum!Hope this helps! 03/25/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Nice grill at a great price. The grill was delivered quickly, but the box was badly damaged. Many of the parts were dented, and slightly damaged, but fortunately it didn't show once assembled or impair function at all. It's somewhat of a pain to assemble, but a great grill for your money. My good friend spent more than triple what I did to get a Weber. His grill is a little better, but not worth triple.Good control on this with 4 zones. It's not quite as hot over all as I would like, but works well, and slow cooks well also. 07/04/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great Grilling Great price and free assembly at Walmart plus superb and even cooking = Great grilling. I bought the grill for my son and am very envious of it. Walmart even gave me a $50 gift card on the purchase. 04/30/2010
