Rated 3 out of 5 by ArizonaBrandon Thought I'd be upgrading... I had previously been using an older Braun 7 series (about 8 years old), which had started to show signs of aging. Being quite satisfied with my old one, I purchased this new 7 series online. The packaged arrived in about 8 days.Ive been using it for 2 weeks and these are my impressions:*This shavers' battery last much longer, a full two weeks.*The cleaning solution is expensive and unnecessary.*There are at least 2 painful "tugs" a day, this would happen once a month with my old one.*And most importantly, My old shaver actually shaves closer and faster!!!!!Overall I've been disappointed with this model, and would return it if I hadn't thrown away the box. I would recommend looking at the higher level Panasonics. 09/25/2010
Rated 2 out of 5 by Curt4279 Not for me I'm one of the few who does not approve of this product. Yes it is easy to use, looks great and cleans itself. I returned this product because it took me too long to get a "good" shave. First, my beard is very thick. Second after rubbing my face for 5-10 minutes my skin became irritated. My face felt burnt. Even then some areas were not 100% shaved so my face felt scruffy. As for the commercial where the guy shaves and his beard immediately vanishes...I never had that experience. I guess to make a long story short if you have a thick beard or sensitive skin I would not buy this product. 12/11/2009

I purchased this razor as a gift for my father who is 92 and has thin skin. His electric has seen better days, so based on reviews, I purchased this one. Based on my experience shaving him and myself, I have to say that if you follow the directions, this shaver gives fantastic results. It is quick, shaves as close as my blade razor with never a nick, and has a nifty trimmer good for ear hairs as well as my dad's mustache. 10/25/2009
