Rated 5 out of 5 by MSiobhan1 Brahma Defender Boot - a real workhorse The boot is great for working outdoors. It is well insulated and rugged. I looked in the stores for this particular boot in a size 9 and seems most of the United States was out of that particular size. When I ordered it on line I was told approximately 8 days, and lo and behold it arrived in two! I am satisfied with the overall wear and tear and this is the 7th pair of boots I've ordered for my hard working man. I would watch out for the tread though, sometimes they change it without notice. I wish the photos online would show the bottom of the boot as well. Some of the boots have a tread that looks like little arrows facing outward and it doesn't seem to be as slip resistant as the regular tred. 01/05/2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by dah04 I Have been getting these boots for about 15 Years they were good quality. Then they changes the style of the boots and with in 3 months they fell apart. The back part that goes around my ankle ripped in two from the leather. Can you say a waste of money .................. 04/07/2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by inventoryman extra wide is not extra wide the previous defender style of brahma boots fit great. They have re-vamped the style and the extra wide boot is no longer extra wide, I would categorize it more as a wide shoe - which does not fit my foot (the toe box is narrower as well as most of the foot bed). When I can afford to do so, these boots (only had for a couple of weeks) will be donated and I will buy a different pair - thought I finally found boots that fit again, but, I guess I was wrong. 03/21/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Garza91 Almost a perfect boot If it was not for the right boots lining to come loose, it goes right back into place when I am putting the boot back on, but it is a nuisance to have it snag or catch on my foot as I am trying to jump out of that boot and jump into my firefighter gear for a call. The height of the boot provides excellent support for my back and knees through out the day. Stands up admirably to any kind of weather you put it up against (i.e. wet, dry, ect.). Extremely comfortable for any shoe not just a boot. I wear it all day long whether its for work, or the gym, or a night out on the town this boot can handle it. 03/30/2013
