I am nothing but impressed with these SUBS. I was afraid when I heard all the internet trash talk about them, but when I installed them and heard them for the first time...WOW! They hit hard, and sound clean through a large range of frequencies. I have had them for close to a month, and no problems.

I've been a Boss Audio Sub-woofer man since my low-rider days as a teen. The Phantom series do what they say, but you have to remember to break them in, period! Don't wire them down to 1 ohm. I bought two Phantom 10" subs three yrs ago and they're still going strong. So, I decided to put them in my wife's Tahoe (mine). I put the 15" p156dvc's (2) in my Cadillac. Set-up up everything proper and I'm back to setting off alarms like I use to do in the old days. Product works fine for me and at this price. They can't be beat.

    • I'm using a 1000 RMS amp and this speaker kicks hard

    • Technically, any amp will work, but this sub is rated for 2500 Watts, so something 1000 Watts or higher would suffice. Personally, I have a Volfenhaag German Concept 2500 Watt Amp on mine.

    • 1000watt Amp at least and no-more than a 3000watt Amp.Wire the sub-woofer to 4ohms, and bridge it! Also you need a ported box tuned to 30hz. Also, it is very important to break in a sub-woofer or you will fry it.

    • You can use a variety of amps. I'm currently pushing two of these subs with one sony xplod 1000w amp. The important thing to learn is proper wiring, and OHMs. These subs are 4ohms each, so just make sure you or who ever installs them gets good information on them, and wires them correctly. You can search a variety of websites for that info. try crutchfield.

    • This amp should power that sub real nicely. Boss AR2000M Monoblock Mosfet Amplifier. just make sure you have the proper wiring kit for it. Your gonna want a pretty thick power and ground cable.

    • The guy who answered this ? at first is already wrong. The RMS for the speaker is 1500, I have a boss speaker similar to this one that is 2500 and i have a 1800 watt thats pluggedto it and its banging!

    • For this Subwoofer you would need one 2500 watt amplifier. Make sure that you don't use any amplifier with a higher wattage than your subwoofer/ speakers for that could blow them. If you get two of these 2500 watt subs, you would need one 5000 watt amp.
