Good fun Bought this game as part of my iniital PS3 purchase after seeing a demo of Split Second at local electronics store. My son who is 5 loves this game and I like it too becuase we can both play it together in single or multiplayer modes. In Single player we share the joystick and try to win each race in the stage. The music is not annoying nor does the music/audio contain any verbal references of any kind. The game play is fun fast and can be a challenge on some cars and tracks but you have so many cars to choose from you can find one to fit your style. We are player at medium level over Fathers Day weekend and completed Stage 1 with all awards. Good game indeed. 06/21/2010
Blur: A must have racing game for your PS3 I had owned both Blur and Split/Second until recently, and I can say Blur has far more replay value then Split/Second had.Blur also have multiple difficulty levels; even non-game players like younger kids (and maybe your spouse) can earn most of the primary lights and win races in single player on the Easy difficulty. For the more hardcore racer you have the Hard difficulty, and take it from someone who is a Legend Level 5 online, those races are every bit as challenging to win/earn all the lights.Online play is where Blur shines, yes you're going to take your lumps, but the ability to unlock Legendary cars and then take them back to the single player game, and to unlock rival cars in the single player and use them online is a very genius thing to do and gives Blur tons of replay value, as do the online leaderboards for EVERY single player event!On the negative side (and these are minor), you'll find you can stick with just a couple cars in each class and win, there aren't enough uses for the off road cars, nor does the game tell you which tracks are pure "off road" (it becomes trial and error), and there can be some slowdown/cars flickering online as well as getting whole rooms disconnected without warning.But don't hesitate: If you love Mario Kart, and you want arcade like racing where you aren't punished like in Gran Turismo, just go ahead and buy this game. Blur (Adult Mario Kart) Not a true racing game, but fun. It's an alternative to pure racing game. I would recommend that you buy it used or on sale. Not a bad game, just not what I thought it was. 02/19/2012
I love this game!! Im not usually the type to play video games, but i havto say that this is one of the best driving games. i love that i can play against my family with the multiplayer option. i also like the graphics it looks like real life video stuff. but i would definately buy this game in a heartbeat. 01/03/2012
