Rated 2 out of 5 by innewhouse We bought four blinds for front windows, the room darkening part is fabulous. When we got them delivered one of the blinds was damaged on the bottom plastic part and had a large dent in it. We needed the privacy so we decided to live with it. After cutting, by the way, scissors dont work well in the initial cutting process, knife works best. After hanging them, after 24 hrs the stick part at the top did not hold and we came home to two blinds on the sill after falling off the stick tape. I had to go out and buy double stick velco at the fabric depot for $5.39 a yard so spent another 20 plus dollars on that. That did the trick so it is fixed and they are all holding. The pull up and down is actually not bad, we are "very gentle" and do not have any kids at home. If there were children pulling up the blinds they would not be durable enough. All and all, they have served their purpose, but was disappointed overall. Also, with the blackout shade, they do not appear white at all on the window, they are more of a gray look to them. 09/06/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by fitbot Easy installation, works great The only issue is that unless your trimming job is flawless, the shades don't look so good on the sides where they have been trimmed. I only had to trim 1 of the 3 that I purchased. Otherwise, we love these and ordered more for other rooms. They do block the light pretty well. 05/16/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by just5398 I am also a little disappointed with the cheap looking plastic piece on the bottom, would be nice if it came with some sort of covering to make it look finished.Definitely can NOT use a regular knife as shown in the video to cut them to size. Definitely need to use a box cutter. I used a razor blade to cut the plastic parts then used the box cutter to cut the fabric part. By the time I was cutting my 4th blind I had it down to a science so they came out much neater than the others. It's only held up by foam tape so one of my 4 keeps falling down, I may have to install velcro or come up with a better idea to keep it in the window.MUCH cheaper than buying other brands 08/14/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by KEKD Truly blackout shades! I work nights and sleep during the day so I was worried that these shades wouldn't actually block out all the light. I didn't need to worry - these shades are truly blackout shades! I'm so glad that I didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for custom blinds! They were pretty easy to install, but it would have been helpful to have some sort of guide or special tool to make it easier to cut the shades straight - using a box cutter or knife made it difficult to get it perfect. 02/08/2013
