Bad, Black & Decker, Bad Seriously, the thing gets hot, why would you design something to have Plastic hinges. I bought this waffle maker on Jan 28, 2012. I used it for the first time on Jan 30, 2012 and didn't even get dinner finished and the hinge broke. What a piece of garbage. 01/30/2012
Got it for $7 in clearance I found this at Walmart in clearance for $7. The hinge broke after about 10 waffles. I can still use it, but it is flimsy. It was worth 7 bucks because now I know we enjoy waffles! 03/05/2012
Fraile plastic hinges break after 10th use The plastic inserts which hold the hinge together broke after about the 10th use. I presume the heat made them too brittle -- another sad case of poor quality which does nothing but waste money, time, and serves nothing but to fill up land fills. Black&Decker products are officially on my black list. 02/19/2012
