Great drill for a beginner I lived with a roommate who had 2 different drills, both battery operated however one was weaker and had less torque than the other. When he moved out he took all his tools with him and here I am, as a homeowner, with no tools. This kit is great not only for beginners but for women or even those who have a lack of mobility. Pieces are easy to interchange and unlike other drills that have a keyless chuck I did NOT struggle with interchanging pieces. This kit even had an attachment for the odd bolts that I could not get with the other tools I had around the house.The bag is handy to carry the tools around, I just wish there were separate pockets or even removable pouches for the smaller bits and attachments so that they don't go flying everywhere inside the bag. 10/03/2011

good for household jobs This drill set is great for light-duty drilling jobs around the house, but if I had to use it for heavy-duty jobs (drilling into concrete or drilling into weather-treated wood for a deck) I would go for an 18 volt battery or a plug-in drill. 02/06/2012
