Rated 1 out of 5★ by AngelKisses82 Not what you think! This dust buster is terrible!!!! I am a housecleaner and I was looking for a small, portable vacuum that I could use on carpeted stairs. I read the reviews on this one and thought I would give it a try. I used it on my own stairs first that are berber carpet- didn't suck up anything! Thought maybe I was using it wrong, used it on bare floor, nope, still nothing. Tried a dust bunny that was on the hardwood floor, couldn't even suck up that. Unfortunately I had thrown away the box to it. But, I contacted customer support online, explained the situation to them, and they were EXTREMELY helpful. They apologized, and even let me return it without the box. If you are looking for a dust buster that actually does what it's called- don't buy this one, you will be sorry. 09/11/2014
Rated 3 out of 5★ by mostlycloudy A fair to average purchase I had previously bought a refurbished Dirt Devil handheld from eBay - an old school vac that is much better than the ones out there today. I almost cried when I ruined the vac by getting it caught up in carpet fronds from the carpet square my husband was using as a doormat. I knew I should have kept it at my parents' when I moved in with my husband and had to resurrect his nightmare of a bachelor pad. That's how much I valued that vacuum. This vacuum cost me twice as much, but is only slightly better than my now half-lit Dirt Devil. My mom warned me about cordless vacs, and she was right as usual. The vac needed to be charged a full 24 hours before using. Cordless items are a money drain, esp if you forget and leave the charger plugged in. Chargers left in the wall take in small amounts of electricity, even when the appliance is not attached to them #thus, wasting money#. I knew this all along, but there aren't many alternatives to cordless. I thought from the glowing reviews that the suction would be stronger than what it is. I'm also concerned about battery life since my husband informed me that running an appliance when it's almost out of charge will lower battery life #I'd done that a few times.#. Changing a battery in a vacuum isn't something I want to undertake, even if it's possible to do. According to instructions, filter will have to be cleaned and replaced from time to time. Not so on my old vac. It's not a bad vac, but I wish I would've waited and tried to find one similar to what I had. Just don't make them like that any more... 06/21/2014
