Yes, definitely. I make salsa in mine all of the time. I just throw some onions, tomatoes, and peppers in there and the machine chops and mixes everything together!

I have used it to make chicken salad and ham salad and have chopped onions, celery, carrots and chunks of freshly cooked chicken and ham. Very fast and great for doing that. However, if you don't want the onions, etc. too small just use the "pulse" button chopping little bits at a time.

Will the processor chop? Will it dice onins, celery and carots?

Yes, I believe that it would. The regular cutting blade is very sharp. The rotating mechanism is strong and doesn't seem like the motor would burn out or anything with meats. The only issue with using a processor for meat is that the pieces are going to be chopped small.

The instruction booklet makes no mention of grinding meat - or not. There appears to be a photo on the outside of the bix of food including meat.

NO! I just broke mine trying to make hamburder from a hunk of chuck. It seized up, blew off the top, and then went back to spinning with the top off in spite of safety mechanisms! Now the bowl is stuck in place.

You can easily turn meat such as cooked chicken into chicken salad by adding the additional ingredients.

No, it does not circulate the food quickly enough to get a precise chop for meat. You will wind up with chunks or puree.

Will this product gind meat - like for ham salad?

you have to manually pulse it but it does work well, other than if one of the parts breaks like my grating blade did you can not replace just the blade its a shame

I love this food processor. I bought a similar product in a different brand in a different store, then I found the product to be having some design flaws in it and had to return it. I am glad I found this one which is larger, more powerful and even better priced. Thanks Walmart.

Excellent product and reasonably priced

I'm a raw vegan! I needed a good food processor to help me make my raw vegan brownies, cookies and breads! This bad boy got it done!!! It can process nuts and dates within minutes! Leaves me with the perfect consistency! No chunks! It is kinda loud when I have dates or nuts in it but it's okay! Wasn't tripping about that! 

The directions to assemble it was awful! The pics were terrible. Took me about 15 mins to figure it out as this was my first processor. Had to use the so called directions and the picture on the box to figure it out. 

It also has little suction cups on the bottom of the food processor to hold it down! Works perfectly because when you are processing something like dates, I would have had to hold it down to prevent it from falling on the floor! 

I love the little opening at the top! You don't have to totally stop the food processor just to add more ingredients. 

Easy to clean and can be put in the dishwasher!

Item worked great, needed a reliable  food processor to make horseradish and this did the trick. Have made 10 quarts so far and this processor has done an outstanding job.

Food Processor

I've only had this for a couple weeks and it has already met my expectations. It comes apart and locks into place eaisly. It cleans up nicely. It's great that I can stick the blade and bowl in the top rack of the dishwasher. It's not huge so it doesn't take up a lot of space on the counter. My ONLY complaint is that it is very loud. Other than that it is a great little processor for the money and does exactly what it's suppose to do.

The capacity is good, and it does a wonderful job of pureeing and mixing things well. My only issues with it are minor. First, the center blade housing is awkwardly shaped, so that removing it is rather difficult when there is food in the cup. Also, the cover has a tiny area between the opening for the hopper and the edge of the cover where food gets stuck and is a bit difficult to remove, sometimes requiring a bottle brush. Same thing with the housing on the bottom of the cup, food and sauces get stuck in the housing and it takes quite a bit of flushing to get it out. These last two issues are solved with placing in a dishwasher, I am sure, but hand washing is more difficult. Other then that, I love it so far.

An overall good product for the money

We needed an emergency processsor for the nursing home kitchen I work in when our Cuisinart broke . I nabbed this baby up for a song ,thinking it would 'just have to do' until a replacement part for our Cuisneart came in. Surprise, surprise !! This processor is a champ! The blades are about an inch or so apart on the spindle and the bowl is sloped inward ,so everything flies around fast and furious getting a great slice,dice and puree ! Personally, I am quite impressed & I think I like it better than the high end processor it is substituting for. I just hope it's profromance continus to live up to my praise. Oh, and it is all easy to put together and operate and clean ..which is a fantastic bonus when you have several different foods to process to various textures for one meal.
