Rated 5 out of 5 by DesertSlug Good for visiting grands and evening tea, too First, this is about the B&D as pictured. From all the reviews, there seems to be another version with more bells and whistles. The ones I got only have the on-off switch as shown.I didn't see this at my local WM years ago when I got mine, and I'm glad they now have it online as I wanted to get more.Second, in our (me and the grandkids') fleet, it is obvious that the coffee pots were either made in different places or by at least two workers. We say this because the coffee pots in one set (half the fleet) come with a rather wide pour spout which it is almost impossible to overflow the sides on pouring. The other half the fleet has coffeepots which have rather pinched spouts which, until we figured 'em out, caused spout side spills all the time. Our answer was to never fill those pots beyond the 4-cup mark and be careful not to tilt the spout on pouring. Naturally, the Old Man has ended up having his coffee from these.Third, we wanted the simple switch because the power in our area seems to be generated by hamsters on treadmills and when it went out, it fried the computers in all 3 of the more digitally inclined of our coffeemakers (they were not B&D, but they looked identical in every way). So, now, first one up "pushes the button, Max" and we're on our way.Fourth, depending on how many grands visit at one time, the B&Ds see a lot of use, from boiling water only to an assortment of coffee. We certainly plan to replace the aging fleet with this same device. Oh, one additional comment from an over-the-shoulder reviewer: the cord is long enough, too. None of those helpful 3-inch cords to keep you from tripping over them as you run along the breakfast counter ;)) 02/14/2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by peanutlee33 Good size for a morning coffee drinker :) I recommend this product strictly for light java drinkers.. not for serious or heavy coffee drinkers. On avg you will get 2.5 6oz servings at most; similar to a 4 cup maker, at most. Regardless the water or coffee brand you use you will still get a 3.7 out of 5 star quality at best.. at least that was my experience. I would however recommend it for overnight camping or RV usage. 04/24/2013
