Yes it does. Cooked few times and it came out well.

It doesn't matter what kind of rice. As long as you follow the directions
of proper water to rice ratio, it cooks it perfectly every time.

I assume that it does, but you would only be able to cook 1 of their cups (not a standard measuring cup) of uncooked brown rice in order to have enough space to double the water. It is a very small pot.

I checked for you on www.youtube.com, and could not find an answer.
Have never used brown rice before so may I suggest you email Black&Decker to ask them. Surely they would know!

It does cook it but use more water than 50/50 or it might burn on the bottom

It is closer to 2/3 cup dry with the measure they provide. I think you can put in 1 cup dry.

I think it can cook upto 2 cups of dry rice. Enough for 2 unless you're a big rice eater. I think there is a one yr warranty [not sure]

This is a 1.5 cup dry for 1-2 serving size. Warranty is good if you return with $7.95 check and return postage including cut off end of chord, receipt, and explanation to "Applica"

I have been cooking rice and quinoa in this cooker for weeks, you can't put even one cup dry into it 1 part dry and two parts water without it boiling up through the steam hole.
slightly less than one cup dry, can't get full three cups cooked.

I am using a rice dispenser that measures 4.5 and it is ok. As for the warranty, I am not sure,

This is a one and half raw rice cooker. 3 cup is misleading since usually the number means number cups of raw rice. However, it is a great cooker if you are looking for a small rice cooker.

This rice cooker comes with a measure cup, which it is 180 mL for a full measure. The max volume of un-cooked rice per cooking is 1.5 measure. That is equivalent to 270mL, which it is a little over one US Cup (250 mL).

This rice cooker comes with 2 years limited warranty. It is printed on the box.

It has it's own measuring tool! Makes 3 cups of rice, so I haven't measured it out! I have trouble cooking rice. This takes my worry out of my day when I use it! Worry free! Never had any to come out uncooked or over cooked.
If you need more than 3 cups, I would recommend the 6 cup.

You can cook less than max but this item is for one to two people. My son married 4 years ago and received this item as a gift, They use theirs 3 times a week. It feeds them and a 3 year old.

Three cups overall. Don't let it boil too long or it will overflow.

Cooks one cup or little more of uncooked rice which is good enough for one or even two persons. Easy to carry/clean/store. I am just loving it and would recommend to all who are by themselves or those who preferably want to prepare less quantity.

Bears perfect size with perfect outcome

i have a 6 cup cooker but to big for most of my needs. this is perfect size for about a 3 day "supply" of rice. have also used it to cook a single serving of salmon, add abit of water and steam and ear of corn broke in half. great little product for a great little p"rice" lol

perfect size for a single person household

It was smaller than I expected, but it turned out to be for the best. Excellent for college students making a single portion of rice, though also great for two portions if you have a friend over. I've used this product almost every day for two weeks, it always makes perfect rice and doesn't stick to the bottom. The water doesn't boil over, so no mess. I like that it came with a cup to measure/scoop uncooked grains and spoon to move around/scoop the cooked rice.

This is a perfect size for me and my husband. It cooks one and half raw rice. I only used it twice only so far. It cooked perfectly without any spill. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for durability is the out surface of the rice container was discolored after it was washed in dish washer before it was used the first time. The discolor stays after I have used and washed it in the dish washer twice. However, it does not seem to affect cooking at all.

Its the perfect size for my needs and the priduct is great for the price. Its durable, lasts a long time. I use it every day and it is my second one. I recommend it for anyone who needs to cook smaller amount.

Good size for a single or couple

I was skeptical about the quality of this rice cooker because of the low price. I've only had it about a month, but I use it twice a week. The rice is usually a little too wet when I follow the directions for how much water to use, but I usually leave the rice on the "warmer" setting for ten or fifteen minutes and the problem is solved.

I love that this is small, most rice cookers are very large and take up too much space on the kitchen counter. This fits in the space between two other appliances that would otherwise be wasted.

Good compact rice cooker

Just right for my wife and I for one meal (don't have a lot left over as with big cooker, to dry out). Make sure you don't cook to much of it bakes to pan if it sets on warmer to long. Fast easy for quick meal with no left overs!

Great for 1 or 2 people for 1 meal

Apparently, Black & Decker rice cooker descriptions are COOKED rice amounts and not RAW cups of rice. The pot was so small that a woman's hands fisted side by side would have taken up the whole inside of pot. Total disappointment. Would have been great for one person, one meal (maybe two small eaters) but definitely NOT what I was expecting.

This order was to replace an older 6-cup (inside of pot has 3-cup mark) B&D rice cooker in which the nonstick has started to flake off. Returned the too small pot, which was a snap at local walmart, and ordered a six-cup B&D. Used the model number off of old pot to order the new 6-cup, which is what I should have done in the first place. Hopefully, nothing about pot size has changed between old 6-cup model and new 6-cup model.
