how do you open up this product can't get to the bits without breaking the plastic

The 5 stars are for the best laugh I've had in years. The drill bits appear to be of good quality if you can get to them. Thank God I went to the web site and found the hilarious reviews. I too was mystified! Thank you all for doing the legwork before I took a hammer to it.

I bought them for all type of wood work on my house. Some of the pieces are repeated. I first I was guessing because they break or in case people lose them specially the small ones but yeah some of them broke when using them. I am not complaining specially for the price.  I really like them because they are in a small case and its easy to carry it. The container has a small storage unit under it you can the contents from it and put other things in it. I like it.

I like the price and I like the tools

The reason I got these is the 1/2 inch size. I plan to use it to drill holes for lights - so we shall see.

Other reviews have addressed the issue with opening the bottom part of the packaging. If you are still struggling to open the top part:

Press down on the top-middle section of the clear part of the case. It's obvious once you get it the first time that there's a little latch in there that needs to be disengaged, but getting to that point isn't so straightforward.

Best suited to puzzle-lovers.

I haven't tried the drill it's yet but had to laugh when I found out I was not alone on confusion on the packaging.  It took reading 3 different reviews to figure it out.  To get to the bits you need to push the center of the middle part down. for the bottom drawer underneath on back left is a plastic plug I used pliers to pull it out, now just slide the drawer left pushing the round button on the right.  Voila,

Got this as a Christmas gift THREE YEARS ago. I finally decided to open the bottom. After a couple hours it was not much of a problem for a HAMMER. Upper case is a bit worse for the wear, but still works.

I will NOT Recommend this.

I haven't even had the chance to use it yet, but any product that takes an hour, reading the suggestions of other complaining customers and two YouTube videos just to open the stupid thing will never live up to what used to be positive expectations. Why in god's name would you frustrate and confuse your customers before they even have a chance to actually try it?? I'm actually tempted to return this thing, because if you have no more regard for your customers than that, I'm sure it will be a nightmare actually getting support services. 

You make *tools*. Why don't you use some of those tools to make a better box?
