Black & Decker 10C Food Processor 13 20
Nice features but negative outweighs the good I was really happy with the food processor my husband picked out for Christmas. I wanted one to make salsa and fresh home made baby food. I liked that it had the chopper attachments but in using it, I didn't get far enough to try them out.I steamed some apples until soft to make apple sauce for my 9month baby. I added the quartered apples one by one, adding a bit of water. The processor did a good job of of chopping them up but the pieces were too big and the apples stuck to the side. I had to jostle the thing just to get the food circulating again, which was kinda hard with the suction feet keeping it glued to my counter. It took 5 minutes on high just to get a good smooth texture. It shouldn't take that long. The apples were already soft and there was plenty of water.By now my baby was getting restless however I could barely hear him over the extremely loud motor. It was shockingly loud and I had to move my baby further away from the noise so it didn't bother his ears.I thought I would give it another try so I rinsed everything off, put it back together and went to turn it on but there was nothing. Tried several different times, took it apart, put it back together but nothing.I will be taking this back and getting a different brand. Between the noise and the time it takes just to do a simple puree, I just don't have time with a small child to fight with my kitchen appliance that is supposed to make things easier. I could have mashed the apples by hand and it would have been quieter and faster. 01/16/2012
Great Processor, Missing Dough Blade This is a great product for the money! The only complaint I had was it was missing the dough blade when I unpacked it. Based on a couple other questions on this site I don't think I was the only one! Just call Black & Decker (have your box handy, they need numbers off the bottom of it) and they will help you out :) 12/12/2011
So far so good! I truly can't comment on the "meets expectations" and "features" aspects because I've only used it for chopping. Based on that, however, I'm liking it. Be careful with the blade. That puppy is sharp! 02/06/2012
Good Buy I have had this Processor for 2 weeks. Its a good buy for the money, does what it is supposed to, chop, grate, sliced well. Its quick and easy to clean by hand. Just wish it had a dough blade too. and that the open shoot at the top of the jar were easier to remove and didnt have so many parts to it...overall a happy with the product so far 12/19/2011
