Rated 1 out of 5 by mthman The worst shampooer ever I have been on the phone with bissell customer service since I bought this in July 2011. I bought it because of the heater. The first one I bought the heater that didn't work,. I brought it to the repair shop. They didn't do a thing. I called customer service they said they would replace it. They sent a new one. The same thing, the heater didn't work. I brought it back to the repair shop. Again they did not replace the heater. They don't even have a thermometer. Customer service just gives you the run around. They are not very helpful in solving my problem! 12/26/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Jeannieb1978 Stopped dispensing water after 9 months The machine worked average, to get the carpet clean usually you would go over the spot twice. After 9 months, it stopped dispensing water. 11/19/2010
Rated 2 out of 5 by widow09 Very disappointed I first bought this machine right before my daughter was born in April of 09, I used it about a week later for the first time and it leaked the solution water all over the carpet so I figured it was a defective machine and exchanged it the same day for the same one. Now I have had the same machine now for a little over a year and have used it maybe 10 times and this machine does nothing for my carpets unless I use the hand tool. 10/26/2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by IntoPhysics Poor design, poor value This cleaner works great at first but one of its "wear parts" is inadequately engineered, the brush shaft and the plastic parts that fit together to hold it on one side are made of low-density plastic, they distort under heat from friction, which compounds the friction problem exponentially. #I would include photos but the plastic is black, making it difficult to illustrate the flaw.#This issue cause the belts burning too fast problem, the brush not spinning problem and the soap not squirting problem as well, because the pump is driven by the same shaft. If the part had a high-density plastic or teflon bushing/sleeve, it would've lasted much longer, which would've earned it 5 stars instead of 1 in my book #in reality, 1 star was a gift.# The part #which includes the brush and one side bracket# is only $15, but if you need them to replace it for you, shipping becomes prohibitive in a heartbeat.I wish its weakness had become apparent while I still had time to return it to the store. I also wish I hadn't recommended it to friends after only a couple of uses... Live and learn. 02/02/2012
