great vac for the money This is the 2nd one of these we have bought from Walmart. The first one we bought 3 years ago and we wore it out. The bearings in the roller started sounding like a plane landing in the room. We have several dogs, cats and a couple birds so this poor thing got a work out everyday. When the suction gets weak you do need to check the hose for blockage. But for the amount we paid for it this is a great vac. We were going to upgrade to a Bissell pet vac, but the local Walmart couldn't get one in and there was not one online. Still happy with the one we took home. 03/18/2012
I got this vacuum 2 years ago and it seemed to work fairly well. Not long ago I noticed it wasn't picking things up and if it did pick anything up it just spit it out the back. I cleaned it out thinking that was the problem. But the real problem was the hose. There was absolutely no suction, so anything that got picked up just stayed at the base of the hose. So when I took the hose off, everything I just vacuumed up fell right back out on the floor. Not only am I getting a new vacuum, I'm going with a different brand entirely. 03/15/2012
A Rather Crummy Vacuum The vacuum is easy enough to assemble and clean, is reasonably light, and acceptably easy to maneuver. However, while it sounds as though a lot of suction is going on, it is very ineffective as a vacuum. I went over my carpet (which is a shallow carpet, if that makes sense - there is not much place for dirt to hide) three times, and it left an obvious amount behind. I also found the power cord to be a bit short, though, to be fair, I am unsure what the average vacuum power cable length is. In any case, I will be investigating the return of this item for certain. 03/14/2012
Good Cheap Vac!! If you are looking for a decently priced vac that will only last you a few years (if that) then this is the right one for you!! This particular model only lasted us a grand total of 2 years, even though it was well maintained. I've never known Bissell to be a good brand, they always break down =( 03/10/2012
