good light-duty vacuum I bought this primarily to use on my second floor hall carpet and bedroom area rugs. It does a very good job on the carpets, is lightweight, and has excellent hose suction. I have a Eureka Boss that does a better job on my main floor areas that get more traffic and dirt, but it's a lot heavier to carry upstairs.This is my second purchase of this Bissell. The first, seven years old, is still going strong in the basement.However, I noticed two changes.1) This model doesn't have a full bag alert button. No loss, that feature never worked anyway.2) This model is 10 amps instead of the original 12 amps. The motor does sound a little lesspowerful, so time will tell how it holds up.Don't expect it to vacuum hard floors well, you can't shut off the brush roll.I always try to change the bags on any vacuum when they are around half-full, saves wear on the motor. I learned the hard way years ago (different vacuum) to make sure the vacuum does not roll over and sit on the cord while you are using the hose and hand tools. The brush roll keeps revolving and could chew through the cord.For the price, I recommend it. If it lasts half as long as my other Bissell Powerforce, it will be worth it. 02/06/2012
