Works better than expected My old Dirt Devil UltraVision was a good vacuum (I thought) but stopped working so this was my replacement choice (I have two long haired dogs). I was a little hesitant that I was making the right decision given some of the complaints regarding the weight and noise level. I am happy to say it is lighter AND quieter than my old vac. What was amazing is that it pulled gobs of hair out of carpet that did not LOOK like it needed vacuuming. Add a half inch deep of dust in the collection cup for EACH room I used it in and I was stunned. I thought the old vacuum worked fine until it died but I was obviously mistaken. The only thing I would say as a negative is it seems the plastic parts are a cheaper feel than my old vacuum but it is attractive enough and I am sure will hold up fine regardless. Great value for the performance level. 12/26/2009
omg it really works omg!!!! It really does work............I recently had dark merlot (burgandy) carpet installed in my living room and we have a buff (blond cocker spaniel) recipe for disaster...like my carpet was wearing a fur coat........ my kenmore upright vac didn't even come close to removng all the hair . When i told my husband I wanted this vac and why he said all of the reviews were hipe and written by walmart employees.....well i must say this is absolutly the BEST vac for dog hair...... and it also works great on long shag area rugs........like my daughter has in her room where the dog sleeps at night she was amazed at how much hair i got off her rug and it brought the nap back up and felt soft when i got done...........this vac is so reasonably priced that if i had a up stairs i would buy another!!!! this vac is no heavier then others of its size and is quieter then my kenmore vac............. I love it!!! and i dont mind vacuuming every day ...............now!!!! 12/19/2009
Not worth the money If you have a long haired pet the vacuum clogs up and every 2-3 uses you will have to take the roller brush off and clean it out. It clogs so bad the roller will stop spinning and you will start smelling the burning rubber from the belt. 12/03/2009
didn't last 8 months We had several problems with belts and a plastic piece on the bottom breaking so that the belt wouldn't work right. Just bought the vacuum last March and will contact Bissell since it's still under warranty. This is my 2nd vacuum in less than 3 years-the first was a Hoover Windtunnel that lasted 2 years until it broke so that it wouldn't stay standing. Needless to say we're sick of vacuums that don't last and have decided to just shell out the extra money and have ordered a Dyson. 12/02/2009
