Rated 5 out of 5★áby weeblerox Pleasantly surprised! This was a wonderful cake! Had I not made it myself, I wouldn't have been able to tell it was gluten-free! There's no odd taste and it's got a wonderful 'chew' to it that I wouldn't have though I could get without gluten. It was a bit dense and a little on the dry side, but I'm sure that had more to do with me not having a mixer and me overcooking it just a bit.I made this for my mom's birthday cake since she's on a gluten-free diet and she was so happy to have a great tasting cake. The one downside, it's a little on the pricey side, but it was worth it for the look of shock and joy on my mom's face. 03/30/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★áby olrattler VERY good especially for a GF mix! Cost seems high but is not really when you remembered it is a gluten free mix. Flavor is really good -- again, especially for a GF mix. Ordering more. What more can I say? 06/05/2014
Rated 3 out of 5★áby Tallulah77 Not Worth The Price This mix is okay in an emergency, but if you want a good gluten free cake, you're better off making your own from scratch. The taste was good, but I have yet to have a gluten free Betty that wasn't like eating a rubber sponge. The price, like most gluten free products is ridiculous, and it's cheaper at Wally than most places. Four something dollars for one layer is just sad. I was thrilled when I heard Betty Crocker had a gluten free line, but the thrill was gone after I tried them all. The nicest thing I can say about this chocolate cake, is that it's better than the yellow one. That one is really bad. I honestly can't recommend any gluten free mix that I've bought. Surf the internet, find some gluten free sites, and start following them. But don't waste your time and money on this stuff. As I said, good only for an emergency. I don't have emergencies, because I do bake from scratch, but even if I didn't bake, nothing would ever induce me to buy this again. If you have a cake or cupcake emergency, just go to Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Both have delicious gluten free cupcakes and Trader Joes has a good flour less chocolate cake. Those are expensive and delicious, and at least you aren't paying money for nothing. 03/06/2014
