Clear assembly instructions, though the side bars rattle a bit as they are not firmly secured. Looks far more expensive than it is. I particularly like the adjustable feet. I'd rather not screw it to the wall, so I have the front feet longer than the back ones to keep the entire unit slightly tilted back. It's pretty stable that way.

I know this is supposed to be for the bathrooms, but I bought it for the kitchen. After assembly, which was fairly easy, I broke off the front of the bottom shelf on purpose and ran short curtains to cover the toilet space which actually holds a trashcan for recycling, and just zip tied the bar back in place. The shelves hold half and gallon jars for "fancy" dry pasta storage as well as a heavy ceramic cookie jar and canisters for flour, sugar and coffee. While I was worried it wouldn't be sturdy enough to do the job I had in mind for it, it actually works PERFECTLY! Not a bit wobbly with those adjustable feet pointing it tipped back towards the wall. Looks really sophisticated in the kitchen and NO ONE believes it's a bathroom shelf until I move the curtain and show off the bottom half. Value got four stars cause I personally think it's a little over priced for what it is, but that's typical for this brand.

This looks so much nicer in our small bathroom than I thought it would. A few baskets and some rolled towels have really made our tiny bathroom very spa-like! We purchased the other BH&G oil-rubbed items, a white waffel shower curtain with matching oil-rubbed hooks and for under $400, our bathroom is brand new!

    • Doesn't need to be attached to the wall. Has a brace for behind the toilet. I'm assuming to prevent falling over. But it doesn't seem like it would anyways

    • I feel that it's best if attached to the wall. Small (or large) children or pets could possibly pull it down on themselves. I tried it without attaching it, and it just didn't feel stable enough for me to be comfortable leaving it unattached.

    • Because the feet are adjustable, you can screw out the front feet slightly to tilt it to the back for more stability. However, if you have children around, even as visitors, I would recommend attaching it to the wall. Screws and anchors are included.

    • It is not supper sturdy. I am going to Velcro it to my wall and adjust the front legs slightly higher than the back legs. It comes with sturdy screws if you want to permanently screw it to the wall.

    • I would say probably, especially if you are going to put a bunch of weight on the shelves.

    • It does come with screws and anchors to attach to the wall to prevent tipping over. I have thin walls and the anchors pulled out. If you are going to anchor it and have thin walls, I would recommend buying anchors that hold better in thin walls. I simply adjusted the screw on feet to stabilize it. I do, however, live alone and don't have to worry about little ones messing with it, which may be a concern for some. Hope this helps.

    • if you want to you could but it does not seem to be the case in my townhouse bathroom as a small full bath. If you would like to make sure you are able to sit and use the Loo without having things come falling down on you if you hit it then I say go for it but not really needed.

I want to use this in my son's dorm room over his refrigerator to give him more storage area, the refrig is about 34 inches high and 18 inches deep and wide. Do you think it would fit alright?
    by an anonymous customer 7/19/2012
    • From the floor to the bottom of the lower shelf measures 34 inches. The rest of the dimensions are in the description of the shelf unit.

    • My units shelf is 34 inches from the floor to the first shelf. The unit has adjustable feet so this unit should work for you if you attach it to the wall to make it sturdier.

    • Our toilet is 34 inches so I think height wise it would be fine. It's 22 3/4 wide across at the bottom so yes you can stick the fridge under there

    • Yes, I actually did this with a small refrigerator I have and it works great. It almost looks like a baker's rack, just without the bottom shelves. This is the refrigerator that I was able to put under mine: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Igloo-4.6-cu.-ft.-Refrigerator-and-Freezer-Stainless-Steel/15162471

    • The height from floor to first shelf is approx. 34 3/4", so should fit fine -- also the width of shelves is about 21", so no problem there --- the depth of the shelves is about 9" or so --- this would probably work just fine over a small frig. --- check the height carefully --- should be fine. It's really handy for extra space... Hope that helps~
