Once it was together, it was exactly what I wanted. However, I wouldn't recommend it to friends because it required too much effort to assemble. Many of the pre-drilled holes had to be re-drilled.

My wife and I saw the Coffee table at our local Wal-Mart and loved the look. We decided to replace our whole living room set with the entertainment center, coffee table, and end table. We purchased all 3 as a set since Wal-Mart offered them with a discount as a package deal. Free shipping to our house was much nicer than having to go pick them up! Set-up was typical for similar furniture type items. While assembling the entertainment center, 2 of the pages were blank. I called the manufacturer and within 5 minutes, they emailed me the whole instruction booklet in a pdf file. The only con I would list for these items is the caster wheels. We liked the idea that the furniture had caster wheels to make it easier for cleaning underneath. Unfortunately the casters do NOT spin, they are welded in place. But worse yet, they are welded in opposite angles. So you can't even pick one end up and use the wheels at the opposite end to help move it. I guess they are just designed for appearances. Other than that the whole set is very nice looking and appears to be very sturdy.

while it looks good in the product pics its misleading in suggesting that this is anything of quality. first of this is not real wood!!! it is a cheap laminate over press board it was already chipping as i took it out of the box. dont try to assemble without a drill and id probably invest in some different screws because they don't go in far enough to actually hold anything. besides the wood being fake and tacky the worst part for me is the wheels, made of plastic, they look like the came off a kids toy but look at the pic because they are all facing in opposite outwards directions and are fixed so if you think your going to be able to roll this in any way think again if that doesn't matter then it could be alright but i was wanting a moveable piece. and you can say that this is ok for the price but no ive bought furniture from walmart before that was priced the same and much higher quality. keep looking....

I will admit I was hesitant to purchase this table after reading the numerous reviews about how difficult it was to assemble as well as how cheap the "wood" is. However, my experience was the exact opposite of those reviews. It took me about an hour to assemble this table. I didn't find the instructions lacking in any way. While some people suggested buying longer screws, please know that this is not at all necessary. Some of the screws provided did take a bit of work to catch onto the metal frame, but they do. You just have to screw them in with a decent amount of force, but it was by no means discouraging me from completing the assembly. I also read reviews about the printed wood pattern coming off when you remove the part labels. I took the labels off with no problem. And just out of curiosity, I went so far as to run over the bottom of the table with my fingernails to see if it really was that delicate and I can assure you it is not. If you have purchased a basic coffee table from IKEA, this is the exact same deal - MDF with a simulated wood pattern printed on it. It is durable, sturdy, and way more expensive than it looks.

Some reviews stated that the laminate was peeling off their pieces upon unpacking. MINE DID NOT! I don't know if it is how they unpacked the items or what. My set looks beautiful, is in beautiful condition and fits my style perfectly! If you like the rustic country look, you will love these and YES the price is beautiful too.

Perfect. Arrived a day early, wasn't too heavy to carry into my apartment alone. The table pieces were all in perfect condition, packed well. It took about an hour to put it together, but it was very simple and the directions were easy to follow. The finished coffee table looks amazing, it's exactly what I had been hoping for.

I bought this table as a gift for my son, and I loved the industrial look of this table, but was totally disappointed to find that the holes don't line up, and the particle board chips so easily that it got frustrating very quickly. If there has been metal inserts in the bottom shelf, that would have made things much easier and more stable. The metal frame is handsome to look at, but the fixed wheels totally baffle me- why would anyone put wheels that move on something but point the wheels in four different directions and then make them fixed? Wheels that move & lock in place would have completed the industrial look and make it so much more usable.

the " wood" looks ok (no simulated texture but good image), but feels very delicate; the veneer feels very thin. Too much like paper. the metal frame is sturdy (wouldn't sit on it though) but some of the the parts that r supposed to look like they were welded together aren't flush so it defeats the purpose. Also, between the softness of the " wood" and the shortness of the bolts that r meant to anchor it, some just spin and spin and never " grab" the board. In summary, I would only recommend this if you' re willing to do some modification. I'm gonna be upholstering the "wood" which i intended to do down the line anyway cause eventually the particle board is gonna age ungracefully, but I'm gonna do it now cause BOTH of my boards came with cracked veneer and it's an eye sore. Also, u could just replace the particle with real wood which is another option. The look of the frame for me is worth it because the price of similar style furniture is way higher.

I purchased two end tables, a television stand, and this coffee table in the same design - and the coffee table was by far the worst to assemble due to pre-drilled holes in the metal being too big on two separate pieces, and crooked drilling of the pre-drilled holes on the bottom part of the table. If I did not have three bigger screws on my workbench, I would have had to return the entire table. I managed, but I feel when you buy something it needs to have bette quality control to avoid this one from being delivered to a consumer.

This is the 2nd piece of this collection that I purchased and out of 3 pieces so far, the easiest to put together. Just make sure you follow each step exactly how it goes. I love the wood and the metal. the wheels give it a neat added touch and although they do no swivel, they do glide which makes it easy to vacuum around. It is slightly taller and a little shorter than the coffee table I had before, but still works great for me!! it really has a different look and I love it!!!

The "pine finish" is actually the cheapest of veneer. While trying to remove a packing label from the underside, the "pine finish" ripped off. I bought this because it has wheels. What I didn't know is that the wheels are fixed at opposite angles and therefore do not function as wheels. I returned it.

I am so frustrated, that I came on here in hopes someone wrote a review of how to put this table together. I understand directions- I have done this before. BUT NOTHING FITS! The screw I am supposed to use just spins and spins, doesn't actually attach itself to anything. It's useless. I tried contacting the company it came from (besides Wal-Mart) which is a company named Saunder and I checked their website for insight....the website doesn't even recognize the product number. I bought the table because it's cute and cheap...but I'd rather spend the money than deal with this!!! NOT WORTH IT.

  • A. Possibly, but not easily. If you look at the picture closely, you'll see that the leg is actually one piece. The wheels themselves just insert into the leg. Would guess you would have to cut off that portion of the leg in order to insert stock casters, but not sure that would work as I assume the leg itself is hollow.

  • A. Am guessing the table would stand, but the leg itself is one piece down to the point where the wheels are inserted so would poke into a carpet or floor and look funny. FYI, It's not a standard caster, the wheels go into the frame. If your concern is that the table will roll, this is not an issue as the wheels are fixed. They can individually "roll" if you don't tighten the bolt completely, but if you look closely at the table you will see that they are all pointed in different directions so the table will not move. This is not changeable.
