I don't know the size of your patio door, but they are strong enough for blackout curtains

I have blackout curtains as well and they work fine with a heavy curtain. I would suggest measuring your window area they are nice and long but not sure how wide your window is.

Yes, it should hold blackout curtains, but be sure to use all 3 brackets that are provided in the widest width's packaging as well as drywall anchors if you do not drill directly into wood. I installed these on my mother's sliding glass doors, and the total width of her doors including the doorframe trim was 74" -- the longest rod available extends to 84", so I knew this would be fine (we even set the brackets a couple inches past the trim on each side so the curtains wouldn't "crowd" the door). You need to measure from the outside of the trim to the left to the outside of the trim to the right and see.

I have it over my French doors and there is still length I could use. I bought heavy blackout curtains, too, and it is strong enough to hold them.

Probably not. It is meant for curtains; however, I would not place too much weight on it. Also, I have a long sliding glass door and it will not fit there.

I have it on a standard glass door with a heavy blackout curtin and it works well.

Pretty and quality curtain rods

This is a very sturdy and well made curtain rod. It is beautiful and stylish for any type of decor. It is very easy to install and looks beautiful in any room in the house with any style of curtain. I am very pleased with my purchase and when ready to decorate the next room will purchase this rod again.

This curtain rod is a fantastic value. Product delivered as appears in photo. I saw almost the exact same rod and finials at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $40. Easy to install.

Beautiful window hardware

Ordered this drapery rod to be used in the bedroom above french doors. The rod is of excellent quality and looks very elegant yet modern. This rod package comes with three brackets to create a sturdy window system to hold several 84" drapes. The oiled brass color is perfect for a neutral pallet.

Very low price, good-looking thin rod.
The only thing I do not like is chipping paint in a few places. It is not visible under the curtains though.

Curtain Rod

overall, easy install and follow the directions as written to avoid any issues. The brackets are sturdy for regular use but could bend down with weight, hopefully the kids don't do pull ups on them. The rods look great on the wall but be careful if you have a corner with a window on each side...the end pieces are long enough to hit the wall or each other so I took one "end-piece" off and extended the bar into the other end piece...still looks great. Would be a 5 but I have owned better quality (larger, heavier metal and adjustable brackets) in my last house.....also paid 3-4 times as much.
These are used in my bedrooms only, We will not be using these in our family room

It has a nice color and design, but I had to return it because the rod holders didn't extend out far enough. Decent rod for the money.

These are fantastic rods - well made and design. Only problem was... there are nothing on the website that told me the total legnth of the rods with the 4" ends on each side. So, the minimum true overall length of a 28" inch rod is really 36" - and therefore didn't fit the doors and had to return them sadly.

I was disappointed in this product. The Leaf Design is quite small and it does not give a measurement on the Wal Mart site; thus looks bigger in the picture so to speak. The adjustment screws are difficult to maneuver and are hidden and lower toward the back making it difficult to be able to see it for when you need to dismantle the screw in order to place the draperies on or off the curtain rod from time to time for cleaning the draperies.
