    Big and Fluffy!

These towels are big and fluffy soft. They are a lot thicker then the cheaper towels I have bought in the past. They remind me of the Cannon brand towels I grew up using. Some of the reviews complain of the towels falling apart or shrinking, but if you follow the washing instructions, Machine wash in warm water on regular cycle and dry on low temp, they do not shrink or fall apart. I was raised to wash towels in hot water and dry on hot, but you can't do that with these towels because the are made of cotton and cotton WILL shrink! I expect these to last for many years!

I bought these at my local store and I have to say I don't use my other towels any more. I love the size of these. They're not enormous, but I can wrap them around me after a bath and I feel well covered. They're still soft, absorbent and they haven't lost too much body even with repeated washings. They have also retained their color, but I bought a medium green so I don't know how well some of the brighter, or darker colors will do. I will be buying more colors to replace my other towels, though.

I absolutely love bath sheets. I bought a set of two to go with another brand of sheet from a different store. The store is more well known for their home decor than wal-mart, but these sheets are still going strong. They are very absorbent and comfortable. The only drawback is they dont carry the color I bought anymore :/ great for your money though!

    • Bleach does one thing – it removes the color of a stain so that it becomes invisible. When you use chlorine bleach on whites and you think you’re getting the clothes cleaner, the reality is that all you’re doing is removing the color from the soil that’s still there. You’re simply masking the stain. As a matter of fact, if you examine white clothes that have been bleached over and over again, you’ll notice that the fabric eventually will turn gray because, effectively, “white” fabric isn’t really white. White fabric is as white as it is because it’s dyed and infused with optical brighteners. But continued bleaching will eventually wear away those dyes and brighteners, returning the fabric to the original grayish color of cotton, for example. Therefore, when you’re bleaching fabric, you’re not truly cleaning it. In fact, if you then wash the bleached fabric in just water – without bleach – you’ll notice that the original stains will begin to reappear.Bleach works by either adding or removing an oxygen molecule. Oxygen bleaches, which add an oxygen molecule to the wash water, are color-safe. There are several types of oxygen bleaches. The two most common ones are hydrogen peroxide and sodium poboride. Sodium poboride is a salt-based bleaching agent that also adds an oxygen molecule; it’s very active because the sodium portion of it helps to wet the fabric, because it’s a softener. It not only softens the water, but it also bleaches. On the other hand, chlorine bleach, which removes an oxygen molecule, is used primarily on white clothes. There are some colored fabrics that are safe for chlorine bleach, such as some nylons and items where the fabric is made with the color in it; however, these days there are very few garments that are actually chlorine-bleach-safe. To get white fabric really white again, you have to use a wetting agent to break the dirt loose. When I started using just a phosphate detergent and no bleach at all, my white items turned out cleaner and brighter than ever, because I'm attacking the stains but not the optical brighteners.

    • Bleach tends to yellow white fabrics if used repeatedly it also can weaken the fabric over time. I use non-chlorine bleach personally.
