After reading the other reviews I was aware of the color difference (love it - looks more formal and less country casual), the possible wobbling/instability, and the flimsy drawer. Knowing that, I assembled this slowly, paid attention to the directions, and made sure every screw, cam, dowel, nail, and piece lined up exactly right at each step (I think there are around 24 steps?) and that everything was screwed in tightly. Having done that, the draw fit and glided smoothly, all pieces lined up, the wobbling was nonexistant, everything was solid and sturdy, and the only correction required was re-adjusting the right door hardware to level it with the left door. Took another 5 minutes. The touch-up pen works great and although it looks darker, it blends in quite well. I assembled this myself (female) and it took me about 5-1/2 hours. Well worth it for the results and the money. Oh, I added tassles to the knobs (see pic).

My husband and I love this stand!! --We were hesitant on purchasing this product because of the pieces of wood on the glass doors. We were afraid it would block the sensors on the sat. box and the surround sound. We found the stand at our local WalMart and found out that while your assembling the doors you actually apply the wood to the glass with adhesive strips. Which we chose to leave off. --Also the color is darker then the item picture, the stand is more of a dark walnut color which matches our espresso furniture perfectly,so we weren't to angry about it. --I am not to sure why it took other reviewers 3+ hours to put this together? My husband had it together in 2hrs15min by himself and with little help from our 2 1/2 yr old. He also used wood glue on everything which technically should take longer but it didn't. --All the holes lined up perfectly. --The instructions were great, very detailed. All the parts were labeled and all the screws, nails, and brackets were in their own plastic and marked with their label. --Other reviewers were saying it was hard to adjust the doors, but once again he had it adjusted in about 5min. --The drawer is very stable not flimsy. The tv stand is also very sturdy not wobbly. --We have a 52" flat screen on the tv stand now and it fits perfect! The BAD --The only thing I was upset about was the touch up pen. It is black not brown. So we chose not use their pen. We used a brown Bic permanent marker instead which blended in perfectly. --My husband was not to thrilled with the 45 degree miter cut edges. Trying to get them to line up right was a pain. Also the laminate was peeling up on the edge exposing the MDF. --The centered shelf is one long shelf so you cant adjust the height on each side. The stand is perfect! Buy it you wont be sorry!

I actually wanted a dresser for my living room to replace a large bookcase I removed. I wanted to display pictures and open up that wall. I found inexpensive mirrors to put up above it, (5.00 each!) and also put a light inside the cabinet where I have my music boxes and knicknacks. Over all for the price the product was great! The only problem was it was a bit difficult to put together. I had some trouble and there was a lot of pieces. Instructions weren't clear to me, but thank goodness I had a father and son who are good with assembling things. Now, if I could only find end tables to match, that would be perfect! I believe whoever purchases this product will be very pleased with the look and the price.

I am overall pleased with this purchase. This TV is 36 inches and fits well. We had to buy a furniture crayon to touch up scratch on the top and also the back edges as we didn't place it flat against the wall (baseboard and wires). It came with a black marker to do edges as you assembled and this worked out OK for small areas. I didn't expect top quality for the price, but I think it is worth what we paid for it and I would probably purchase it again. It is very attractive, but not as sturdy as I would have liked. I do like the design and after touching up scratches and unstained areas it does look like a quality piece of furniture to the casual eye. I would have liked to have something besides cardboard as the back, although the cabinet is deep enough that you can't really tell it isn't wood and is definitely acceptable. We have had compliments on it and I do like it. It was pretty much what I expected and I consider it a good value.

I bought this buffet for my LCD TV, which it fit perfectly on. I love the buffet because it is traditional yet still modern with the glass and silver hardware. I also purchased the two curio cabinets that are by better homes and gardens also, I haven't seen them on the website anymore so I am happy I purchased them when I did. They are awesome also- they even had built in lights. The only complaint I have is that you have to assemble yourself. It made my living room so much more elegant and I am very happy. I am even considering purchasing it again for a server in my dining room also for our wedding china.

I was amazed that I was able to put this together by myself, however I am still having difficulty attaching the doors (yeah I know, who would think after putting this bad boy together I couldn't figure the assembly of the doors), not a manufacturing problem...assembler problem. My Daughter is going to give it a try next time she is over. I have very few problems to complain about or bring awareness to the problem (s). Each piece should be labeled, only about 4 pieces were, that did not cause to me to worry about as I had the pictures in the "assembly instruction booklet". There were a few minor problems, but nothing to cause any concern. Thus far I am very pleased with this piece of furniture and will be thrilled once the doors are on. The picture walmart has posted is not true to the color, it is much darker..which I love just as much

I have been looking at this cabinet for over a year now and finally purchased it. The picture needs to be updated because the cabinet is actually much darker. It's really pretty but if it doesn't match the rest of your furniture like you thought it would because of the picture that would be very frustrating. My boyfriend put the cabinet together and it took several hours but it really is rich looking. The drawer bottom is not very sturdy so don't plan on putting anything very heavy in it. The doors were difficult to make hang even but I'll just live with that because I like the cabinet so much. They need to make the touch up marker match the furniture piece better also. Other than that, I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

This stand is beautiful. And the large drawer is incredibly useful. I even like the option to leave the cross design off of the windows when assembling it. However, the materials are horribly cheap! Just assembling it resulted in chips from the lacquer and wood. And as soon as a TV was placed on top, more chips flew off. Beautiful and solid, but NOT worth $200!!

We bought this product about a year and a half ago. First off, it took FOREVER to put together and the first night, while moving it into position, the top tried to come off. Other than that, it was gorgeous and we liked it. A few weeks into it, the particle board in the bottom of the drawer pretty much fell apart. We've got VHS videos stored in it and you can't open it without the drawer just about falling apart. About 6 months ago, the "finish" on the doors literally started peeling off. It looks like they basically used wood finish "stickers" instead of actually finishing the product. We've tried to use super glue to fix it and it doesn't work. All of the finish is trying to peel off. The doors now don't close right, either. The whole thing is just falling apart. I hate it because this piece WAS so pretty. Please don't waste your money on this piece of junk. It looks like we've had it for 10 years and abused it when we've had it less than 2 years and have tried to take really good care of it.

I originally bought this product because i thought it was beautiful and would match my livingroom furniture perfectly. I was hesitant on purchasing it due to it's price, so i waited six months to finally buy it. It took my boyfriend about 2 1/2 hours to put it together. I was immediately disappointed with the final product. First off, the corners of the wood dont match up so there were spots of different color showing on the corners, although a furniture marker is provided, for the price of this item i should not have to touch up anything! Secondly, the whole stand was wobbly. It was easily moved from side to side with the touch of a hand. I would not have trusted to put my television on it for one second as it probably would have made it colapse. I ended up taking it apart and returning it to the store. And lastly, the color of the product is much darker than it appears in store and on the box. I am only giving it two stars for the sheer beauty of the piece which is otherwise a piece of junk!

Biggest thing to watch out for is heat dissipation from the electronics, as we found out with a Playstation 3. Moving it to the top of the shelf and opening the drawer slightly promoted good airflow.

I haven't put much in the drawer yet, but assume it can hold its weight pretty well. You can also fit quite a few DVD'd, Blurays or games in there if you set them on their side so you can see the titles facing up.
