Rated 5 out of 5★ by RCW185 Just as it appeared and was described We needed to find a box that would fit our furniture cushions. The measurements on this were accurate, and I hadn't restricted my search to this, but the fact that the inside of the top is waterproof is an added bonus! We ended up buying a second one. 06/26/2013
Rated 3 out of 5★ by NathanielM Looks Nice but a Beast to Assemble I'd recommend this only to people who are handy and strong. My family rates items requiring assembly by how many curse words I use and how much I perspire. I built my deck, have lots of tools (I'm THAT guy in the neighborhood that people borrow tools from). In summary, assembly required 90 minutes, a medium amount of curse words, and lots of perspiration. We ordered from Walmart.com and it arrived quickly, with all pieces in the box. It was heavy.Because it is so large (a good thing), I had to take it to the deck to assemble. That's fine, but you'll need to be careful not to drop any of the small screws or tools that it came with (it comes with the exact number of screws you need, plus an allen wrench and a small flat wrench). When I ordered, I hadn't realized that the bottom piece is fabric, but after thinking about it, that makes sense for its intended purpose. More about installing the fabric later...The assembly instructions are clear, and pretty obvious (it has sides, a top, and a bottom - not exactly rocket science). What I noticed immediately was the poor quality of welding on the metal frame. The welds aren't weak (they're probably pretty strong, actually), but they're messy. This means that I had to drill out some welding that had gotten into some slots on the frame, and also that the screw holes don't line up well. It's VERY important to only loosely tighten the screws until the whole thing is assembled, to account for the lack of alignment. The toughest piece was the fabric bottom piece, which is attached to the metal frame by two metal poles that are sewn into the fabric. This is where the messy welding caused problems and I had to pull out the drill. The fabric is also very tight (which is necessary to function as the bottom piece), and so this is where the majority of curse words flew out of my mouth. Lots of tugging, pulling, adjusting the screws holding the sides until everything popped into place. You need very strong hands to pull everything into place. It probably would have been easier with two people, but one of them needs to be handy and strong. It took me about 90 minutes to assemble from unpacking to throwing out the packaging. And I'm handy. Now that it's assembled, it looks very nice and it what I was hoping it would be. It's not waterproof, but it's a piece of deck furniture, so that doesn't bother me. The lid has a piece of plastic in it to keep direct rain off, but sideways rain could get in through the wicker. On the other hand, the spaces in the wicker will allow for better drying. The last thing I did was remove the BHG label on the front (easy to do, with no damage to the unit - it's attached like a lapel pin), and now it fits in nicely with our other deck furniture.Overall, it looks nice, but you'll need to use some elbow grease to assemble it if the person who welds your box together at the factory is as messy as the person who welded mine. 08/03/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by RCW18504 Exactly as advertised & as expected We got the box to store our furniture cushions and particularly liked the lined top. When we got one, we decided to get a second one. 06/15/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by QueeenB Great product, great price This storage box is nice looking, well made, very roomy and though not airtight, will keep our outdoor cushions and pool toys protected from the elements. We looked at a lot of deck boxes, both high end and less expensive and would definitely recommend this one. We ended up buying a second and also use them as tables for towels, snacks and cell phones. 08/12/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by marvinsgarden Very large and good looking, easy to assemble! This deck box is perfect! I picked it up at the store - I took the pieces out of the box so I could load them in my car since the full box weighted 60 lbs so too heavy for me to manage but once unboxed the pieces were wrapped in plastic they easily went into my car without any damage to box or car.Took me around 30 minutes to put together by myself - I am a scrawny female - I cheated using an electric drill with a hex bit. I was really impressed with how easily this thing went together.Looks great and easily holds 6 seat cushions, 2 chaise cushions and a couple of throw pillows. Great buy! 08/25/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Brsparkles Nice looking addition to backyard. Nice looking. Easy to open and close with pneumatic levers. Very roomy. If you are using in the back yard, although top is waterproof, we had to use plastic on all sides, to keep out rain.We were surprised to learn the bottom was mesh and not a solid product. We've had a garden set from betterHomes and Gardens that's looked great for 4 years, no fading.See picture. 11/13/2013
