I love this piece of furniture. It took about an hour to put together. (my husband is good at putting things together) I am using it in the living room instead of the kitchen. It could have been crafted a little better, but what can you expect for 200.00. The color is perfect. I didn't put in the wine racks b/c of putting it in the living room. I hesitated about buying it, but I am so glad I made this purchase. If the box is damaged I would not accept it. It is packed tight so any damage to the box is damage to the table. I am attaching a picture to show what it actually looks like.The plant on top came from Walmart too. Beautiful...... 01/04/2012
Poor engineering... okay finished product Unlike the other reviews, I had no problems with the packaging. Nothing was damaged. I did have it shipped to the store though, as opposed to having it shipped to my house. This may have made a difference.Now to the assembly.. First, the instructions are vague at best. There were several instances where the pre-drilled holes were either too small, not deep enough or just drilled incorrectly. This made assembly tricky. Skipping forward, the rails for the drawers were not even, so one of the drawers doesn't go in correctly. It's stuck at an angle and I would have to take the entire thing apart and take the siderail off and reattach it to the frame to make it work.This is advertised as a Better Homes and Gardens product, which I think may be incorrect. I have bought other pieces of BH&G furniture from Walmart which were excellent (and came in BH&G packaging). This was not in BH&G packaging and the difference in quality was noticable.I would not recommend this product. There were several points where I almost said "forget it" and returned it.. the only reason I pushed through was because this stand was exactly what I was looking for and really wanted to make it work, which in the end, I pretty much did... 02/13/2012
Very disappointing! I ordered this product on-line before there were any reviews posted. Big mistake! I received the item in a timely matter, but very similar to everyone else the box was damaged. I got it home, opened the box, and unpackaged all 35 pieces, only to find a severly damaged side panel and 2 missing pieces. Called the manufacturer as I was instructed to do-was told "no problem they would ship the pieces in 5-7 days but due to it being around a holiday (Thanksgiving) it might take longer"- ok- no problem. About 2 weeks later called to check on the status and was told that I was initially given the wrong information and that the pieces were backordered until January! But please feel free to repack the item and return it to the store to order a new one! 35 pieces?? No thanks- I'll stick it out and wait. January comes...call to check again- "we're sorry but those pieces are backordered until February" Forget it!! Packed up all 35 pieces and returned it!! Walmart was great- no questions asked. I was very disappointed w/the manufacturer and their lack of willingness to correct their own error in a timely fashion. Was too afraid of what I might get if I re-ordered. Probably would have been a pretty piece but not what I was hoping for. 01/21/2012
We ordered this product online and picked it up at the store. It was clear that the box and the parts had been opened, and then taped back together. It seemed like this was a return from somebody else and the company just passed it along to the next customer ordering it. The top piece - the main part that everyone sees - has a giant dent and brown paint missing. Some of the holes on the drawers are stripped and the wood is cracked. The tracks on the drawers don't line up and I have to force them to open and close since the tracks are not smoothe. If my husband weren't as handy as he is, I wouldn't have been able to figure out how to make it work. If it wasn't going to be so much of a pain to return it and if we weren't expecting company, I would return it. Should have known ordering from Walmart....don't waste your money. Very disappointed. 12/20/2011
