Rated 4 out of 5 by luvsunbeach great chair This is a great chair that goes at out breakfast bar wonderfully. It was easy to assemble - aside from the fact that we had to go and get some longer srews to fit the seat onto the frame - the ones supplied weren't doing the job. 08/31/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by TwinCitiesGuy Can't beat it for the price! My only complaint about this purchase was that the stools we received were not cherry; they were brown. However, since they still match the base of my bar (the top is cherry), it's not an issue at all.The packaging was excellent. I ordered 8 stools and not one of them had a scratch or blemish on it. All you need to put them together is a phillips screw driver. Everything else you need is in the box. I would give yourself about 20-30 minutes per stool to put them together. If you have a dremel and a small drill, you might consider cutting off the small end of the hex wrench and using it as a drill bit (saved me a lot of time). These are bar-height, so 29-30 inches from the floor. They fit my bar tables perfectly and even the bar itself, which is a few inches taller. The wood is solid hardwood with no knots and the circular bits are bent laminated pieces, which are higher quality and should last a while. The swivel looks to be steel with ball bearings and offers some resistance (kids won't use it as a merry-go-round).The seat is cushioned well and should fit most people just fine. The seat cover looks to be fastened securely and resembles fake leather, so should handle spills well although I haven't had any accidents yet. The legs also have screw-in levelers if you find them (or your floor) to be uneven. The stain is a faded style where the edges of the legs for example are darker than the wood in the middle. It looks beautiful and will match a good range of colors.Honestly there is nothing bad to say about these stools. I am a completely satisfied customer! 08/26/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Irish80791 These are great! I just bought 3 of these and they look superb in our gameroom / mancave! I was very impressed by the quality of construction, materials, and price. I've shopped around for barstools all over the Houston area, and if you are searching online and come across this review you have my word that you can stop now and just go get them, you will not be disappointed. They were in stock in the store, so no online "guessing". The one previous comment I agree with is that cherrywood has some red to it, these are a little more brown than cherry, but beautiful. Easy to assemble, but does take about 30-45 min per chair. Worth it!! 04/09/2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Arkantana Very Poor Quality Debated whether I should buy these since the floor model was shaky and coming apart but thought it may be poor assembly. Nope, they are low quality, pieced together wood stools.I assembled one and the back never fit tightly against the seat. Also, one screw was too long and came through the back. There was also a large chip in the side of the stool. I can't believe Wal-Mart would even carry such a poor quality product. Didn't even bother trying the other one just took them right back to the store for refund.I bought a loft bed (metal) from WM less than a month ago and it has been pretty good but this stool ordeal has ruined me for furniture at WalMart. I'd rather not chance it anymore. 09/06/2010
