Every time I get a flat tire I think of Macbeth by Shakespeare. "When shall we three meet again; In thunder, lightning, or in rain?" You never get a flat in nice weather! The "three" being the flat tire, repair kit, and myself. I had to address the issue with the other review of this product that gave it one star. I believe that person did not properly use the kit. This kit is perfect! It works, in fact I have two of them, simply because they are so handy. It is a really basic kit that includes a wrench, tire levers, and patch kit. Make sure to use the enclosed tube buffer on the area where the patch it going to be place to ensure proper adhesion! The only thing I would add to this kit is small Allen wrench for the brakes so that you can fully remove the tire.

Others don't know how to patch a tire properly.

The patches worked great! I can't understand all the negative reviews. I've patched 5 separate holes on two different bikes and they have all held fine even with 70 lbs of pressure. Evidently, there are a lot of people who can't figure out how to patch a tire properly. So, here's some tips for those who are having problems: 1. After removing the tube from the tire, run your fingers carefully inside the tire, all the way around to make certain there is nothing sharp still stuck inside the tire. Thorns often fall off the tire leaving the sharp part imbedded in the tire, undetectable from the outside. Check the inside of the tire. 2. Make certain the spot on the tube that needs to be patched is properly scratched up with the scratch tool, wiped clean of debris, and dry. Don't scratch up just the puncture, but the entire area that the patch will cover. You want the entire patch to stick, not just a few centimeters around the puncture. And there is no need to scratch the tube raw, just rough it up for 30 seconds so that you have soft clean rubber to stick the patch on to. 3. The tube should be deflated when you apply the patch. The tube and patch will stretch when the tube is inflated inside the tire. (Remember the tube size is restricted by the tire and so it does not stretch very much inside the tire.) DO NOT INFLATE THE TUBE UNTIL IT IS BACK INSIDE THE TIRE. If you inflate the tube and stretch the patch out before inserting the tube in the tire, the patch will overstretch and then wrinkle up on the tube when you deflate the tube to put it inside the tire. It will stay wrinkled inside the tire and will not hold air with wrinkles in it. 4. Don't get your dirty hands all over the adhesive side of the patch. It won't stick if you've mucked it up with your hands. Bell didn't design a patch without glue to save themselves money, they did it to save you the grief of always having a tube of glue that is crushed, leaking, dried out, a sticky mess and never usable when you need it most. Okay, my only negative on this kit is that the patches sometimes are a tad difficult to get off of the paper sheet they come on. Conversely, they sometimes prematurely come off of the paper and stick to the plastic case. So I guess we are already at the 'happy medium'. If the patch tries to take the paper with it, just rotate the paper a little and try lifting the patch at a different part of the edge.
