    Belkin Windows 7 Migration cable I specifically waited past Vista to buy a new computer w/Win7. I was concerned about the transfer of my most important files because of the age of the old computer. My son set both computers up for transfer,, and the transfer was made painless without the lose of any of the files, pictures, etc. I avoided the transfer fee of a minimum of $99.00 from "professionals" who would probably have done much the same thing as I accomplished with the Belkin for a very small investment. I certainly recommend it without reservations. 11/16/2009

    Transfer with Ease An excellent product which performs as described.Transferred my files from my old Vista pc to my new Windows 7 laptop in minutes. Instruction and set up disc was excellent and very easy to follow.Transfers files only and not programs/applications.Unfortunately in-store pricing is much higher than the on-line price where I saved over $20 on the item.     Exactly What I Wanted! Easily migrates everything, or only what you want. First set a restore point on the receiving computer, you may want to conduct a system restore when you are finished. Next be sure to adjust the power plans on both computers to avoid one or both going to sleep which WILL cause problems and frustration. Lastly be sure to exit Windows Defender on the sending computer; failure to do so may also cause problems and frustration. If you keep these three things in mind and read & follow the directions carefully you will be thrilled with the results! 07/01/2010
