I would say yes. I did spill water on it and it didn't go through to the inside. However, when my water leaked it leaked out of the back pack.

Basic 16'' Front Pocket Backpack
Today I'm going to review The Basic 16 inch Front Pocket Backpack. It made from durable polyester. It should last for years of enjoyment. Weather for a child for school needs carrying books and other school supplies. Or an adult for. Hiking, Camping, Or any other use you have a need for a backpack. The dimensions of the bag are 16 inches in heigth 11 inches wide and 5 inches in width. For a roomy storage compartment inside the backpack. The colors of the backpack are medium grey on the body, With neon green accents. Top grab handle and bottoms of the straps. The zipper handles are silver with metal zippers to last and for quick and fast access to the interior of the backpack. There's a rear storage pouch on the back of the backpack for easy access to anything you need quickly. Like phones, wallets, snacks or whatever you like to store with easy and quick access to. The straps on the backpack are padded for you backpacking comfort. The straps are adjustable to get the perfect and snug fit with backpacking. I'm older now and live in a house with two stories. I use the back pack for taking things upstairs and for bringing things downstairs it comes in handy. In my opinion. The backpack looks well made to last for years. The backpack has all the pro's, Cons I'm not wild about the color scheme grey mixed with neon green. On the whole is a good backpack. The price is right to.

Nice Backpack

This backpack is a terrific find and a great deal for the price. I thinking of buying one for all the rest of my family members to have their own. You really won't find a better bag for the price. The colors are great, but I've always been a fan of gray with neons. The fabric is nice and the zippers are smooth. The main pocket fits alot of stuff, and the front pocket makes thing a little more organized.

Great backpack!!!

I picked this back pack because my son is going to start kindergarten in the fall. The colors are plain, but he likes the neon green zippers. This pack is simple and sturdy enough for a kindergartener. It won't carry the books an older student May need. But it is a perfect size and a good enough construction for a five-year-old.

There is a little pocket in the front which is very convenient for holding little things like notes that may be going back-and-forth between teacher and student, or extra pencils maybe, tissues, crayons, or glue. Etc.

there are no pockets on the interior of the large part of the backpack, but that's okay. I wouldn't expect my kindergartner to remember what he puts inside the little pockets anyway. Simple and efficient; no room for anything to get lost inside the backpack.

The fabric is sturdy enough and seems to be almost water resistant. Good for a rainstorm. All in all, I have no real complaints about this backpack. We will see how it stands up to daily use once school has started. But for now it seems to hold all of his needed supplies for the first day of school.

Perfect Size For Kindergarten

The basic 16" front pocket backpack,comes in a gray color material with green zippers. It has two compartment, one for the larger items and one for smaller items. I mean this bag is an okay bage, but nothing to go crazy about. It's a small bag small enough for younger children who want's to carry few items to daycare. I don't see an adult wearing this bag unless you are going to the gym and need to carry a few items. I was trying to fit a few items in there, which consists of two light sweaters and five t-shirts. I was able to put a few things in it, which was nothing too heavy. If I had put larger items. I truly think the bottom might start tearing after a while. It's thin and their's nothing at the bottom to prevent items in the bag from making holes, at the bottom of the bag.

Excellent Deal

This Basic 16” backpack with 2 compartments is most practical for multiple purposes.
They say there is beauty in simplicity. This durable backpack has beauty and charm in it's very simplicity in structure and ease of access and carrying. The features are fundamental. Made of a sturdy light-weight polyester with a roomy zippered main compartment and a front zippered compartment for accessories with 2 comfort-fitting padded straps.
This may be ideally suited for Elem-High students, but is also practical for preschoolers and Seniors alike. It can hold notepads, books, lunch and accessories. This backpack will not only function well for school gym, but also for hiking, biking, picnicking, and even swimming. I find the basic design of this backpack as being beneficial. There are many styles of backpacks for activity specific functions, while this backpack can be used for multiple purposes. And in addition to what this backpack has is the benefit of what it does not have and what it is not. It is not cumbersome, it is not heavy, it is not difficult to carry, it is not weighted down with extra features and heavy back breaking racks. It's value is in it's plain and simple function, which makes it a must-have for any age.

Great Value

This backpack is well-made and looks like it will hold up well. The price was also very reasonable. However, I was disappointed with the very small size. It would probably work well for a young child in K-3 grades. But it is really too small for most other purposes. If you are an adult and you only want to pack an overnight bag, or bring a few snacks on an outing, it might be ok. However, you would probably have to carry it in your hands rather than put it over your shoulders.

Well made but small backpack

Basic 16 '' Front Pocket Backpack is a beautiful bag made of 100% Polyester. The color is beautiful too, but for a child to use for school I do not recommend, is too weak and simple, with only two pockets, it is light, it is good to take to the park or beach. The price of $ 3.97 this great! I had never seen a backpack with this price, then to walk or take the kids to work this good.

Good

This backpack is a nice color, gray with neon green trim. Looks like vinyl on the inside which should make it easy to wipe out when you want to clean it. It seems to be made of sturdy material, but not enough so to carry heavy items.. I disagree with the description that it will hold everything you need for a busy day. It is definitely on the small side. I would see a small child using this, for example, on a plane trip for small games and snacks or for some supplies in day care or kindergarten/first grade. My grandkids who are in the 4th and 6th grades could never use it, they have way too much in books and materials to fit in here. I could also see using it for a trip to the pool or the beach, for sunscreen, sunglasses, water, etc. Not big enough for a beach towel if you have other stuff to carry. It could carry gym clothes and a small gym towel, but doubt that it would fit shoes as well. It all depends on what your activities and needs are. So, I would say, it is a good value if you are aware of its limitations, and know you could use it for your particular activity.

Small but Nice

I chose this Basic 16'' Front Pocket Backpack to use as a supplemental luggage for our upcoming Disney World trip. My son needed a back pack to carry onto the plain. Since his last day of school is this month we usually throw away the old backpack so this, I thought, would be ideal. First, the Basic 16'' Front Pocket Backpack is way too small for my eight year old. He is pretty tall for his age. I would recommend this backpack more for Pre-K or Kindergarten. As for the colors I'm not too fond of but it serves its purpose. The color(s) I have is gray and lime green which is a pretty cool combination but a little dull for my taste. I'm not the one that's wearing it. :-) The backpack is light weight which is a plus but seems to be quickly put together. I'm not too fond of the stitching either. Overall, not what I expected for what I needed at this time. If the price matches the quality, then yes I would recommend this product to friends. :-)

Not What I Expected

I cannot believe the positive reviews for this. This is a child's bag and a very flimsy one at that. Sure it is only $4 but not worth even that price. It is thin, very small and has only one pocket. It would make a good garbage bag. Thumbs down!
