Rated 5 out of 5★ by SETennis1 THE tennis ball hopper to own ! This 80 Ball Ballport Hopper is fantastic.I am a High School Tennis coach, and I have been through many hoppers in my career. The metal ones are horrible ( but better than nothing !) - the arms/handles/legs on the metal ( wire cage) ones are always flopping everywhere-- usually into my car's paint job when I set the hopper down to put it in the trunk, or banging me in the shins when I'm trying to stand it up on the courts. This Ballport hopper IS the right size hopper- 80 balls is just right. And when loaded with tennis balls, it's not heavy or awkard to carry from court to court, or from car to court. I really like the way the handles/legs lock into place, and are very easy to latch & unlatch. The metal ones are miserable... I've had to use both arms, and a foot to unlatch the leg mode to the handle mode on the metal ones. The Ballport fits in and out of the car wonderfully. It slides right into the spot of the rear passenger seat foot well of my Subaru. The metal ones NEVER did that- they always had to be put ON the seat, and then the handles flopped around scratching everything in sight. The construction on the Ballport is very good. It feels very solid. It should last for years and years. You do have to assemble it, but it snaps together, and then it's something like 8 screws that hold the whole thing together. Very easy assemble- anyone with moderate tool skills can put one of these together properly. In summary: This is one of the best built, and easy -to-use designs on the market. I highly recommend this one, or even the smaller 36 ball capacity one ( I have, use, ...and LOVE both !) 04/15/2012

Rated 3 out of 5★ by daPoPe33 Could be Better The only bad thing about this product which is a very important aspect of the basket is the difficulty of putting the basket in a standing point as well as taking it out of the standing point. 04/18/2012
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Orionstaff It Broke I bought it as a gift for my teenage grandson based on a favorable review by a tennis coach. In all fairness, it assembled easily and seemed to work really well. Unfortunately, the plastic hopper cracked the first day. The hopper sides are screwed together using self-tapping screws. Each screw taps into a cylindrical mount only slightly bigger in diameter than the screw. Two of those mounts snapped off of the sides they were holding. The hopper stayed together because the sides also snap together, but it was clearly not going to last. Walmart accepted my return in great Walmart fashion.Perhaps a teenager is rougher on things than a tennis coach, but my feeling is that a tennis hopper needs to withstand abuse. After all, you pick up balls by pushing it onto the court to force the balls through the bottom. Then it gets tossed into the trunk of a car to carry it.I've had a steel hopper for 15 years. I'm going back to steel. The plastic version is a good concept but needs better engineering. 06/21/2013

Rated 4 out of 5★ by Dexter5 Great product overall. It looks like this hopper will hold up better than the classic metal hoppers. 09/12/2012
