Covered sandbox

This item was very easy to assemble and was delivered earlier than expected. For the price I wish there was a cover included but besides that I am very happy with this item!

Great item

We are very happy with this! Not hard to put together. Really big and comfortable for 4 kids to play on together. Top is heavy so cats can't get into it and use it as a litter box and wind can't lift the lid up. Only thing is there is no bottom so you have to buy a weed guard to put under it so weeds and such don't start growing through the sand, but it's such a nice sand box that wasn't a huge issue for us.

Awesome sandbox!

My grandkids are one and three and it's perfect for them. The benches are creat seats when they're not in the sand. The folding of the benches keep the cats out. They spend hours playing out there.

No Kitty Poop!

This sand box was worth the money .The quality was very good and was easy to assemble. very pleased with my purchase. My granddaughters use it everyday

Great sand box

Cute sandbox, perfect size enough room for the kids to play comfortably but not taking up too much room in the yard. Only took a few minutes to put together and fill with sand which is great when you have little ones so excited to play. Very impressed overall great price, great value, great product. After reading other reviews I took their advice and filled with only 13 50 lb bags which was the perfect amount of sand 15 bags would have been too many! This was a perfect gift for my children they have spent hours in the sand already and we have only had it for 2 weeks (they even try to sneak out to get in the sand they love it so much)

I saw this sandbox on a DYI site and loved it. I knew I would not have the time to build one so I filed it away to make later. I then saw this on WalMart.com. I researched it on other sites and read the many reviews before I decided to purchase it. I agree with most of the other comments I read. It was easy to put together. The hinges that came with it were bent already so I purchased better hinges from the start. I also doubled the weedmat underneath it and stapled it to the bottom before we put any sand in it. It did not take near the sand it said it would. I used about 500lbs and had just enough room left to leave the sand toys in the sandbox with the lid closed. My grankids love the sandbox and the fact that it has seats on the side. I love that they can close and open it with no help and my cats cannot get in it.

Great sandbox

Very cute sandbox! the predrilled holes for the screws did not line up in all of the boards and there were boards that the manufacturer had put the screws in and on one board the screws will not stay in the holes, the holes are too big. The boards are stained but I added a coat of stained weather protectant to match my deck. Overall very happy with the sandbox!

For this to really be a solid product, I would definitely recommend swapping out the cheap hinges/screws for something more substantial. It works for a while, but the poor quality hinges and their tiny screws don't hold up around active kids. You'll end up having to replace them anyway.

With a few DIY upgrades, this would be great!

This is a cute item and it would be nice if the wood hadn't separated in several places by the time we had had it for a week. The top wood is laminated with water soluble glue and, after a drizzle, split apart in 5 places. The company needs to build the top out of solid wood or use a non water soluble glue. Most sand boxes will be exposed to some moisture outdoors and it is poor design to not use an appropriate glue. Sadly disappointing.
