This product is great, eggs come out great, slots are large for muffins, bagels, etc. everything gets done at the same time and quickly. I am a little slower these days and this has helped, with a quick and tasty breakfast. I have had this for 6 months.

This is the best kitchen device ever you pop in some bread crack open an egg and a minute later you have a breakfast sandwich for pennies on the dollar with 99% less fat, salt and cholesterol than the chain made. Definitely purchase. Clean up is just as quick and takes up very little counter space this is a definite must in any kitchen for people who have very little time and want to prepare a fresh quick breakfast sandwich. This little toaster is one of the best purchases ever and at this price point I will definitely give them out as house warming gifts.

This is a replacement purchase for the exact same model I bout a little over a year ago. The egg cooker portion quit working but the toaster was still OK. I was dissappointed that it only lasted a year but loved the features soo much, decided to give it a try again.

I liked this toaster at first but the egg cooker broke after 2 months. I returned it and got another. The egg cooker broker after 3 months. Now I have an over priced toaster.

I bought this gift for my Dad for Christmas...shhh don't tell him :) Since its not Christmas yet,I can't tell you how he liked it; but I can tell you I bought one for my husband a while back, and he LOVES it. So my Dad came over one day and saw it,and I'm not kidding,he asked about this egg cooker for about 1 yr after that. Do you think he was hinting at me???? So this year its his turn. I'm sure he'll love it. It cooks quick and does a good job. It took a few times for my husband to "tweak" it,so that he timed everything right, and added the right amount of water, etc. Also, after about 3 yrs of using it,the teflon is starting to come off the dish the egg cooks in. I'll have to look into replacement parts for this. He doesn't use this everyday; its a little big,we keep it under a counter cabinet,so it kind of becomes out of sight, out of mind. But then he'll drag it out,and get all his fixings, and use it alot. Overall highly recommended. A great price and a great product!

This is a great product however I'm on my fourth one. After a hundred uses they seem to fail. But for the low price I just seem to like the convenience. It makes great muffin sandiwiches.

My moms neighbor had one of these toasters and she loved it...but it quit working after about 3 months. I got mine before hers quit working...and thought that hers just must of been a lemon. But after about 4 months mine did the same thing. 1st the egg part quit and I used it as a toaster...and then a month later the whole thing became a Dud!

This is a great product. I work 2 jobs and sometimes breakfast isn't an option. In the amount of time it takes to prepare & eat a bowl of cereal, (which isn't enough for me) you can have a delicious egg sandwich to go! I like the steamer option. I use it to reheat anything from sandwich meats to left over elk roast. I am always full after one of my favorites, oat & bran english muffin, egg, cheese and elk meat. It is a little pricey though, but worth the investment.

I received 1 as a gift and it broke so I bought 1 and both stopped working after about a year and I didn't even use it that much. The egg cooker stops working. Tired of throwing away good money after bad and I refuse to buy another! It should have been recalled! Good idea; bad product.

    • A. The whole egg cooking part is made of a series of trays. The very bottom one is part of the appliance and is where you put water for cooking. It does not come out but you wipe it with a clean towel after cooking. All of the other parts are hand washable.

    • A. Just wipe out the well where you add the water with a paper towel. All the other parts are removeable and washable. Since you add cooking spray to the tray for poaching eggs, you really can just wipe that out with a paper towel as well.

I have read some of the testimonials and am wondering about the teflon coating on the egg poacher. Some of them have stated the the coating comes off after several uses. Is this true and if so what is the manufacture doing to remedy this? I would love to purchase this item but want to make sure that this is not a big problem.

    • A. I have owned one for a long period of time, (2-3 years). I have not had the teflon coating come off on mine yet. It did fail, traced it down to the circuit board having a problem with a relay. I opted to replace the item because my wife and I have been very happy with it. So now I have two teflon pans.

    • A. Had no problem with the teflon coating, it will come off if overheated. Since boiling water limits how hot it can get, I would suspect someone was using the little fry pan over a Bunsen burner or hot plate and overheating it. Would college kids do some thing like that...of course they would...

    • A. Interesting question. As I'm on my fourt one. I can say that some of the egg pans peal some don't. I always spray the pan with olive oil and that seems to solve the problem. Very handy product for about a hundred uses each for muffin sandwitches. Always wip the egg in another container first. Way better than the so-so tasteing Macs. BTW, home made for about .30 cents.

    • A. No, that's my favorite kind too, but this is just like McDonalds egg mcmuffin. Technically, you are supposed to break the yolk before cooking to keep it from blowing up, but we've never had that happen when we forget.

    • A. You can poach eggs 3 ways, soft runny center), medium, or hard, depending on the amount of water you use. Just follow the instructions. We use the least amount of water, and the whites are cooked and the yokes runny. Just perfect. Sure beats the mess of poaching in boiling water or trying to cook eggs in a pan and trying to flip the egg without breaking the yolk.

    • A. It all depends on the amonunt of water used... too little water makes eggs rubbery and too much makes them watery. There is a measuring cup. Be sure to use it!

    • A. They recommend you pierce the yolk before cooking, so you get a yolk/white mixed disk when done, similar to McDonalds. If you don't pierce it, yeah I guess it could, ou would have to try it.
