It's a really cool design, but difficult to operate. 01/05/2012
This product is a fairly good representation of my Grandmother's apple peeler. It is heavy, a cheery red color, connects solidly with the countertop and cleans easily. For us, and my spouse is a Master Mechanic, this peeler was unsatisfactory for the following reasons:Peel removal was not complete.Most of the apple fruit was removed during the peeling and coring process.The corer removes most of the center surrounding the core.Removing the core from the corer was challenging. The apple core doesn't easily separate from the corer.Adjustments to the parer function did not improve paring.Even almost perfectly formed apples were reduced to a great deal of skin and very little apple.My husband spent a good amount of time patiently adjusting and readjusting the peeler to no avail. I was disappointed as we had bushels of apples to process and I was in hopes this peeler would increase processesing time. Unfortunately it did not. We will be returning this to the store for a refund. 10/28/2011

Not worth the money spent This is a great, sturdy peeler but when it comes to the peeler staying in place, it's nearly impossible. I used fresh picked apples and when I 'screwed' the peeler to the side of the table it would slip and slide all over the place, making it less than effective. I thought maybe I just didn't have it tight enough, but even after having my husband try it, it would slide. I ended up buying the suction base apple peeler (same brand) and that one has worked great! I would reccommend spending the extra few bucks and buying one with a suction base. 10/14/2011
