I love it I have had this for about a month, making fruit smoothies every single morning. It has never failed or been difficult, or made a mess. I have no complaints, it works better than I expected.The smoothies are perfectly blended with no chunks. Though I admit, it does take a little practice to get the right consistency every time. But I can wing it now to almost 100% perfection.I find that instead of using any ice, I just use frozen fruit up to the line (or a little over), and then milk or yogurt to the liquid line, plus a little honey = great smoothie. To save money I sometimes buy canned pineapple and peaches and freeze them on a tray. Bananas make the thickest smoothies and I will often throw in some frozen banana just for a thicker texture.I have also done ice + juice concentrate + filtered water for a slurpee type drink, which is great. I've done frozen coffee in cubes, then blended with milk & sugar for a frozen latte. The trick to not having any chunks is the ratio of liquid to frozen ingredients. If you have too little, the machine struggles and leaves chunks. You actually get a "more frozen" smoothie if you add the right amount of liquid, than if you try to skimp thinking it will be thicker if you don't.I highly recommend the machine- when I have overloaded it with frozen items, I have smelled the smoky smell people have described on here, but after adding appropriate liquids it zips right along with no electrical struggle. DO screw the top on tightly each time. It is strong enough to accept a really tight seal. No muss, no fuss that way. 12/29/2007
Best Blender Ever I have used many different brands of personal blenders and this is the best one I've come across. It feeds the food down towards the blade and I never have to scrape. It doesn't leave chunks and it even makes the smoothest Margaritas ever! I love it and will buy another in case mine wears out. I use it daily and have owned it for over 5 years. 04/14/2010
Great gadget for those on the go! I love this product! The container is durable, the travel lid is useful (it locks so you can tip your cup and not spill), and the cup is large.My only complaint is that after a few uses, my blender began to have a slight burning odor from the motor. It still works great, but I am wondering if it will give out soon. 09/18/2007
good product, makes my morning shakes and smoothies quick simple painless and easy to clean. not the best blender ive used but for whats targeted it works perfect and gets the job done. 08/24/2007
