Best Car Seat Out There!!!! Ok, I first want to start by saying I'm not a first time Mom. I have a 2 year old and am now 8 months pregnant with #2. Let me just say to the reviews regarding the weight of this car seat that I completely disagree. I had a Graco Snugride with my daughter and it was ok but this car seat feels no heavier than the Graco. Now the base is much heavier so maybe that's what people are commenting about. Anyway, I have no issues with the buttons on the handle or the release button. Mine work very smoothly. I have to say how impressed I was with the amount of padding this seat offers. The absolutely best attribute in my eyes is that the straps can be adjusted simply by turning a knob on the back of the seat. With Graco and my Eddie Bauer Convertible seat you have to take the entire thing apart to be able to adjust the strap height. Being a seasoned car seat user I can't say enough about how happy I was that I took a chance and bought this seat. It's a much better value and I can tell I'm going to love it! The only thing I can't speak to is the installation but it seems like it will be fine. Honestly haven't met a car seat yet that wasn't a pain to install! 05/28/2009
Great car seat I love this car seat. The colors are great and it goes with the double stroller that I have, which I also LOVE. Some car seats have a huge chest buckle and overpowers a baby, this one is small like a graco. I love the handle too, it's versitile and makes carrying easier. 08/21/2007
FALSELY RATED!!! After reading the #1 Rated symbol online I thought it would be a perfect carseat for a first time mom like myself. This carseat was not all that great, the handles buttons are so hard to press and get the handle down. It was so frustrating being at the doctors office or a store and looking like an idiot not being able to take the handle down to get my son out. Plus the carseat is heavy, my son was born 9 pounds, add that to the carseat and this thing was alot to carry. The canopy had great coverage but once my son was 7 months old he was playing with it and broke the cheap plastic piece. Overall I would not ever buy a babytrend carseat again! Hot Material I bought this carseat for my newborn baby girl. It goes greaat with my sit and stand double stroller which i use for my 2yr old boy and my now 7month old baby girl. I chose this carseaat because of its reviews and because it can be used with either a boy or a girl. It is very durable because my 2yr old constantly plays around with it, I've lost count with how many times hes taken off the canopy but its still there and works perfectly. I love the canopy it is very large and covers my baby great from the sun. The only thing i absolutely hate is its material it makes my baby sweat like crazy and now that summer is comming around its even worse also the straps to strap her in are not giving out anymore so she is now fitting in kinda tight, therefore we are currently looking for a convertible car seat for her. My hubby also complains that it is very long and doesnt let the driver seat in our 05' corrolla go too far back it is much longer than the one we got for our son the first time around...but other than that it has been a good product and like i said very very durable....I would recommend this product for someone with a baby born around winter time. 04/22/2010
