Rated 5 out of 5 by julymommy Just what we were looking for This crib was just what we were looking for: very sturdy with four even sides on top. We are also very pleased that it converts to a toddler bed without having to buy any additional parts. The quality for the price we paid is excellent. The only problems we had putting it together were that we accidentally installed the front and back sides upside down at first, so the drawer did not fit. (The thicker board on the front and back sides actually goes on top, and the narrower one on the bottom.) Also, the screw holes in the drawer sides were not in the right place, so we had to adjust those to match the diagram in the instructions. Other than that, it was easy to put together (my husband and I worked together). It looks great in the room: clean lines, clean white finish. We are looking forward to using this crib as soon as baby is born! 03/30/2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by BabyBoy2B Great Crib!! Like other reviewers, we too looked to the high end modern cribs that were $800 and up. We are so happy with the Baby Mod crib. It was easy to put together and is very sturdy. Everyone who sees the crib is SHOCKED that we got it from Wal-Mart. Great Purchase!! 02/08/2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by ModernMom Affordable Modern Crib The husband and I spent months drooling over high-end modern cribs, but feeling guilty about dropping that much cash on one. Then, I stumbled across this little gem. The build quality is very good -- nicer that most Ikea stuff (not to bag on them, I actually like their stuff, it's just a comparison). The instructions can be a bit confusing -- pay VERY close attention to what you're doing. We've put together dozens of R-T-A pieces of furniture over the years, and even we put the crib sides on upside down at first because the instructions weren't super clear. Easy enough to fix, but frustrating when we couldn't get the drawer to go in! I would definitely recommend this crib, though ... it looks great and it comes with the toddler bed conversion rail, which is a couple hundred extra bucks on most high-end cribs. 11/26/2007
Rated 5 out of 5 by asdchris An Excellent Product! My wife and I purchased this crib as an alternative to modern cribs by companies like Netto, Oeuf, and Room and Board. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH OUR CHOICE, AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!The entire crib is a solid wood (Fir I think), no MDF or particle board (with the exception of the drawer base). Easy to assemble, and very sturdy! I saw more expensive cribs at Babies R Us which don't even compare in quality. After seeing the quality, I would have happily paid more for this crib!Like with the matching changer (same 1/4" fiber board typical in many products), I glued the drawer base into the sides for a little added stability.Overall a great product for the price! 09/23/2007
