    Wonderful deal: 2 surprises + 2 problems This crib is awesome just like the other reviews say. The wood has a great black finish and is strong but light. You can indent it with your nail if you push hard enough. But overall I think the quality is excellent and it is very sturdy.I'm 5' tall and I checked that I won't have trouble reaching over the stationary side, even with the crib on the lowest setting.Two nice surprises:1. It comes with a toddler bed rail.2. It has a spring bottom, not MDF. ("Baby Bargains" says MDF particle board is bad for some reason.)I put it together by myself in a few hours while watching the Super Bowl. I did have some trouble setting it up:1. One of the legs came with the hole not drilled all the way through. So please check all the parts before putting things together!!! I was lucky it was one of the first parts I had to put together, and it was easy to fix with my husband's drill.2. In my OCD craziness I tried to peel off some of the warning stickers. I used acetone to get the gummy part off and ended up stripping the paint from the wood. So don't do that.Other than that it was pretty straightforward to put together. You have to fiddle a while with the screws to get them inside barrels but that's about it. It would probably be even easier to do with two people, with one person holding the pieces together while the other screws stuff in. 02/01/2009
    Great crib for the price. Overall a great crib for the price. I love the style.This crib comes with a side rail to convert into a toddler bed, which is great since that's usually an added expense. One piece of advice, the screws to attach the toddler side rail are very similar to the ones that attach the springs to the crib. The ones for the toddler rail are slightly larger. If you use the wrong screws (the longer ones) it will pull the metal attachment piece out of the legs. Once we realized this, the crib went together easily and we had no more problems. The end rails are a little large, so you'll have to get creative when attaching your bumper in the corners but, it's doable. All the screws came in black, which was a nice surprise since all the reviews I read said they would come in a gold finish. The crib feels very sturdy when put together.My only real complaint is that you need to add some kind of teething guard to the rails because a teething toddler can really do a number on the black finish. The finish does come off when wet. You can easily touch it up with a black sharpie or paint. 03/28/2009
    Looks just like a $400 crib! I love it! It is so cute. It looks expensive, but I caught it on sale. I will be honest, it was not the easiest thing to put together. The directions are not clear at all. So please be patient while putting it together.Other than that LOVE IT!!** I was also pleased at how high the mattress settings go. I figured it would be difficult for me being so short and not getting a drop side crib... It is just fine!*** 11/27/2009
