Can this device be installed at Walmart with auto services w/o any additional parts 2 be installed enabling this device to work? Will Walmart auto services install a purchased device from online purchase and brought to their garage to be installed? Or do I have to purchase device thru the auto services at Walmart? And could you give me a ball park figure of the costs their I would occur in the installment services? And could you alert me thru my email as you do for all my alerts from Walmart with my concern inquiries?

  • A. First off,the company that makes the remote start has a very very very detailed info section and faq section as well as downloadable pdf docs regarding instal as well as a pdf of the actual users manual you would get when buying the unit. Go to thier website for all detailed questions,I did and it was beyond useful, just note the model number for the starter you are looking up for when you go to thier site, just type it into your search engine, yahoo or google mabye and then click on the link direct to thier site. It is the best way to do this as most of these detailed questions will not get answered on here which is why I keep checking back in to try and help you people. Google is a great tool...a little time invested and going to the companys website will answer every product question anybody out there can think of. As for install. Install is a whole nother subject. To start, most walmarts do not instal remote starts or security systems, but as always use your phone and call each store near you individually and speak to somebody in the automotive department at each store to see if they offer the service, none around me do the installs but mabye your wal-marts are different. One thing I have to toss in for anybody wondering about self install. If you do not have the time or tools and know how to install a radio head unit,4 speakers, and an amplifier I would say not to try and do it yourself. It does involve a good amount of time even for people that know what they are doing and sometimes will require splicing into wires and also running extra wires,so you would need to make sure you had various wire sizes,a crimping/cutting/stripping tool, soldering iron and supplies, and so on as well as knowledge of automotive electronics. Once you factor in the time involved to do it right and possible extras to buy to have on hand it really is a good idea to let a pro do it. Most reputable installers will run about 50 to mabye 150 tops for an instal depending of course on the car and what types of electronics the vehicle already has. A lot of times even pro installers cant give a dead on price quote until you bring in the car,but they should be able to give you a close ballpark. Again, you will need to bust out the telephone and probably the yellow pages and look up automotive install or places that instal radios and such typically can do security and remote start systems.Again, this comes down to you having to do a little research and shopping around. Try to avoid the fly by night shops that will hire people that just say they know what they are doing but have no training or actual experience, find shops that are mecp certified,I might have gotten the letters wrong but it is something Mobile Electronics Certification Program if I remember right from my days way back when doin installs, this means they were sent to training and passed it all before they were allowed to work on your car,and this really matters because if you let just anybody do it you could run into some major issues with your car that you will end up having to pay for, just like anything,do your homework, and be prepared to spend a little extra getting it done right...a lot of people see the remote starts for 50 to 100 but dont account for the cost to actually get it running properly without hacking up your car. I hope this helps a little
