A romantic action-adventure epic set in Australia prior to World War II that centers on an English aristocrat (Nicole Kidman) who inherits a large ranch. When English cattle barons plot to take her land, she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle drover (Hugh Jackman) to protect her ranch. Together they experience four life-altering years, a love affair and the bombing of Darwin during World War I.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 4kids4us Australia...A must see for everyone! I am notorious for falling asleep in movies, but not once did I ever tire of this spectacular movie. This movie had it all, suspense, action, romance, beautiful scenery, and history. We need more movies like this, that you can take the whole family to see it, and not be uncomfortable. No horrible language, and no visible sex scenes. Jackman & Kidman were so good and believable, as was "Nallah" who was so endearing! Go to see it soon, especially in a big theatre. 12/02/2008
