Worst reformulation of Hair Insurance yet.

I've used Aussie Hair insurance since the 1990's, even when it was a Redmond product before it was Proctor and Gamble. With each reformulation over the years the quality declines a bit. This new one with the orange label is by far the worst of them all. Heavy and sticky at first, but over the course of the day really dries out your hair and causes it to tangle very easily, causing big knots. Not very moisturizing or conditioning at all. Doesn't smell that great either. After all these years I am going to have to quit buying this product and find something new. The version previous to this one, with the green label was decent and smelled great, put that back on the shelves.

I've tried several leave-ins that left my hair sticky and oily-looking. I was skeptical of this product since it seemed a bit watery/runny. I've used an entire bottle now and today was the first day I haven't used it (since I can't find it at my local walmart lately :() and can you tell a difference! With this leave-in, my hair smells fantastic (I almost wanna eat it!), my hair is crazy soft, the texture of my hair is smooth without looking weighed down or oily. I highly recommened this product! (I gave 4 stars for ease of use bc at first it was a bit tricky for me to use the spray thingy)

Product works really well. I have fine hair and it doesn't leave it greasy looking and helps me comb it out perfectly.

This product is amazing. I use a regular shampoo and conditioner daily. I also use a heat tamer spray before blow drying and straightening my hair. I was looking for something that could keep my hair 1. frizzless 2. not too many fly aways 3. NOT sticky/oily/greasy looking. I found it! It also has a great smell, that is long lasting. You really get a great product for cheap! It also gives you the added assurance that your hair will be conditioned even through all that torture of blow drying, straightening, curling, etc etc. I love this product. I am Sicilian, Native American and Puerto Rican so I have long, thick, curly/wavy hair. This product works great! Love it!!

    • A. Not really necessary to do both. I would say don't waste your money...unless you've only just colored or permed...only then would I do both.

    • A. Yes! I use a regular shampoo and conditioner daily. And I also spray this in my hair daily and it does not weigh your hair down or make it greasy. You do NOT have to use a regular conditioner while using this product. Only if you chose to. :)

    • A. Yes, you use both. First use your regular conditioner, rinse as usual. After you rinse your regular conditioner out, use the leave-in conditioner, do not rinse, and just style as usual.

    • A. I've used Aussie Hair Insurance Since about 1990. I use it right out of the shower, but if my hair is feeling dry or frizzy, I just apply a spritz or two on my brush and then brush through my hair. It doesn't dry heavy or oily and is great on long or damaged hair. The only thing I would complain about is that it has a coconut fragrance...which is fine for summer time...but kinda sucks to smell like coconut in the dead of winter. But the smell fades within an hour or so, so I won't fight with your fragrance...much!
