I was pleased with the shakes when i received them. I did however find that for me to really enjoy them i must mix one can with about a cup or so of cold coffee and then pour over ice. that is a preference thing because they ARE thick. I must have 70-100 grams of protein a day so this really helps me meet that goal. MY ONLY FAULT WITH THIS SHAKE IS THAT MY LOCAL WALMART DOENT CARRY THEM! THIS IS NOT GOOD AS I PLAN ON BUYING THEM ON A REGULAR BASIS BUT IF I MUST CONTINUE TO ORDER AND WAIT THEN I MAY HAVE TO FIND A NEW SHAKE ALL TOGETHER.

Atkins Advantage shakes satisfy me much better than the Daybreak ones (Advantage has more protein, and the fiber in the Daybreak doesn't seem to fill or help at all). I LIKE the vanilla ok, ditto the creamy chocolate. I taste no mocha in the mocha latte (no coffee esp). But these Cafe Caramels??!!! WOW, did they exceed my expectations!! I actually ENJOY these, rather than just use them as a weight loss tool (as with the other flavors).

    • I'm not sure where you're getting the 12grams per container. My shakes say "Total carbs 4", but since one of those comes from fiber, you get to subtract it to get the 3 carbs notated on the front of the container. In order to make this plan work, you have to get the Atkins kit where all this is explained in detail. The kit gives you the tools to make it work and there's even a booklet that helps you when you eat out. Good luck Anonymous from Mississippi!

    • Each 11 ounce shake contains 4 total carbs. Some people subtract the carbs from fiber and sugar alcohols (2 in this example) because those minimally impact blood sugar; so each shake has only 2 "net carbs".

    • Carb grams - Fiber grams or Sugar Alcohol grams = Net Carb Grams So, in this instance 12g Carbs - 10g of fiber and/or sugar alcohol = 2g net carbs. Some low carb diets have you count overall carb counts but many have gone to Net Carb counts as the Fiber grams and/or any sugar alcohols aren't processed as carbs and therefore not considered part of the total carb count.

    • This label on the front says 2gm. But on the NI info means 2% of net carbs and it was actually 3gm per container. This product comes 4 to a pack totaling 12gm of carbs.

    • It does not say a total of 12 grams per container. It says 3 total grams of carbohydrates. Of that 3, 1 is fiber, which we cannot digest, so only 2 actually count...hence, 2 net carbs. There are 15 grams of protein, and 11 oz of actual drink. I'm not sure where you're getting the 12 from; it's not on the label anywhere, and it clearly states that the serving size is the whole 11 ounce shake.

    • I believe you are misreading the container. Mine says 3 g of total carbs, with 1 g of fiber and 1 g of sugar. Starch, another component of carbs, is not listed, but is the "other" g. So 1 g fiber+1 g sugar + 1 g starch=3 carbs. To get NET carbs, you subtract fiber from total carbohydrate -- so this container has 2 g of net carbs.

    • My understanding is that it is 12 grams of carb total but only 3 grams of countable carbs in a low carb, high protein diet. Fiber carbs are "free" but sugar carbs are not.
