As a graduate student, I purchased this laptop mainly for word processing, surfing the web, streaming multimedia, and the occasional RTS computer game. I have found that this laptop more than meets these needs.Pros: The i5 processor is probably this model's biggest selling feature, as most other laptops around this price point seem to come with lesser processors such as the i3. Another feature that drew me to this model was the 15.6" screen size. I prefer this size of laptop as it's large enough for me to comfortably and easily see everything that's on the screen without becoming too large and cumbersome. This particular screen size also allows for a number pad to be included with the keyboard, which is infinitely more handy.Con: One minor drawback with this laptop is that there are only three USB ports. While these ares sufficient for my needs, it was a step down from my previous computer, which had four ports. Another potential drawback is the particular keyboard used with this model. While the overall feel of the keys is solid and pleasant, there is a considerable amount of space between the keys themselves, which can take some getting used to.Overall: Aside from a few aesthetic and tertiary features, I find that I am satisfied with the overall design and performance of this laptop. 03/19/2012
I bought this laptop 2 days ago, and i was very pleased with reviews. When i did the first charge, everything was fine. Today...it wont charge at ALL. I have tried different plugs, everything...nothing works. I have hardly used it, only set it up. I would suggest looking into other brands...i researched the problem, and its very common. People complain 6 months down the road it wont charge and to get it fixed you must send it in for 4-6weeks. Its possible its just a fault, but please research it first...it seems to be one of its biggest problems. 02/12/2012
Great computer alot for the money i do alot of multitasking and this computer how the power to keep up. Asus is a great brand of computers my self and friends have had good experiences with them. 03/25/2012
