Rated 5 out of 5 by UPSgrad82 My new ASUS Multi-Functional Gigabit Wireless-N Router with USB Storage printer and Media Server has solved problems. My internet speed is now so much faster. The delivery time and Walmart service was outstanding, and I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this router less than 6 months ago and suddenly it stopped working. I called customer support and spent 1.5 hours on the phone trouble shooting! Most of this time was spent doing the same steps time and time again.... After 1.5 hours they finally decide they will need to replace my router. They couldn't have decided that sooner? (He told me there was clearly a problem 5 minutes into the phone call.)
So, after they deiced it was a firmware issue and that it couldn't seem to be updated for whatever reason, I am given an service# and told to wait for an email less than one business day. 5 business days later, we call back to tell them we haven't received a form by email yet. They FINALLY give us an RMA# and tell us that we will receive a form to complete so we can then mail in our router, wait a minimum of 1 week for repairs and evaluation, and then they will determine if they will even send a replacement router to us, even though it is STILL UNDER WARRANTY! After they decide if they want to replace the item, they will then mail you a new router through snail mail. This whole process would leave you without wi-fi for upwards of a month.
The router was okay at best when it worked and customer service was a joke. They wouldn't even let me speak with a manager. (Not to mention they frequently hang up on you when you are on hold so you get to continually call them back)
I have since replaced my router with a NETGEAR because my internet service repair man had nothing but wonderful things to say about them and because I got a warranty that GUARANTEES 5 days or less in replacement or refund. I will NEVER buy ASUS again if for no other reason than the way I was treated on the customer service line.
