Rated 5 out of 5 by jeepgcl01 Most affordable premium 14 inch laptop I now have 2 of these computers. The first one I bought last year for online school. Given the specs it has; 3rd gen i-5 processor, 8gb of ram, 1gb dedicated video, and 750gb 5400 rpm hard drive, USB 3.0 and 2.0, and price tag under 900 bucks this computer is a steal. I personally have owned many computers and after having to replace so many I decided to give ASUS a try. I started with the ASUS netbook and it stills runs fantastic. Also Windows 7 laptops are getting harder to find since Windows 8 is being pushed to the front. I dislike Win 8 for many reasons therefore I will not settle for anything other than Win 7.Pros: 3rd gen i5 processor, 8gb DDR3 RAM, 1GB dedicated graphics (not usual for small computers), USB 3.0 (2 ports)Cons: Honestly I would have paid to have a SSD option for this computer and I am surprised that ASUS didn't use a 7200 rpm hard drive. They did such a wonderful build on the computer and then went sub par on the hard drive. Battery life is fairly good I can squeeze between 7 to 9 hours on a single charge. I use it mostly for online live lectures and even then I still get good life out of the battery. The best example I can give is I have live lectures 5 days a week and I only need to charge once each day. On the weekends I can go most of the weekend without a charge.Later on I will upgrade to a hybrid or 7200rpm drive. SSD is still expensive and does not offer much capacity that I need for this computer since it is my main computer.Overall excellent computer for students and business professionals that are on the go. 03/21/2013
