I played the first Assassins Creed and fell in love with the characters movements and cut scenes. This second game gets you more involved in the story and gets you submerged in the game because of it. You can stick to the main quests or you can do side quests so unlike some story driven games, this does a nice job of balancing out the quests so you are not finding yourself stuck with 1 task to perform in order to advance the story. I usually wait for games to get around $35 before I buy them and for this price, it is more than worth it for the hours of entertainment it brings. To understand the story of this game, the history of events and characters within, I would recommend getting the first Assassins Creed and play through it first. Thumbs up here!!!

Bought this for my hubby for christmas.he is very picky on non-sporty video games, but he had mentioned it a few times over trhe past year as a possible christmas gift.I pretended i couldn't get it and saved it for his last gift.Boy was he excitedHe plays it every free moment (makes me both very pleased and very annoyed, lol!)and raves about it when he plays.Called his brother in Nj and raved about it to him. He;ll probably be buying it now too!If you can please my hubby w/ a video game, that's saying something!

I've only put in a few hours on this game and I'm liking it already. Awesome graphics, the controls can take getting used to when fighting and climbing on walls but this is actually a good thing. It makes the game feel more interactive. I don't regret picking this up as part of the bundle, great game to start with.

Entertaining game. Nice graphics, set in Italy with many recognizable landmarks. Good storyline and game saves automatically along the way. Not recommended for younger kids

Are you able to wander around the city just killing innocent civilians? If you are, I do not think that is appropriate, and I will probably buy my son the last Grand Theft Auto game instead.

  • A. The Walmart Associate is totally correct. From someone who has played both, it is much, much easier to kill innocent civilians penalty-free in any installment in the Grand Theft Auto series, than in the Assassin's Creed series. AC clearly frowns on killing the innocent, as the game forces you to restart from your previous checkpoint if you kill 3 or more, and even for the first time, it reminds you that your character did not do this. In GTA, however, running random, innocent pedestrians over with cars is expected, and basically unavoidable in some high-speed chases/events.

  • A. You can kill civilians but it hurts your status. If you do...you notoriety goes up and you will be attacked by guards...The game really keeps you down the path of staying away from innocents.

  • A. some assasinations are part of the story but it won't let you run around killing civilians. Only guards and people who are attacking you. You can kill civilians but it will kick you from the game if you kill to many.

  • A. Yes you can kill innocent civilians.. although the game highly discourages you from doing it.

  • A. You are not supposed to go around killing people. The game gives you some room if you have intentions to assasinate a guard or guards and you accidently kill a civilian. If you kill more than three civilians at a time though, the game "desyncronizes" you and you start back from the last checkpoint you reached. Ezio, the main character that you control in the game, did not kill ordinary people in this video games timeline therefore, you are not to go out and kill regular citizens throughout the game. The last Grand Theft Auto game is far more "adult themed". It has many things that are not suitible for children, far far worse than Assasins Creed. I recommened looking up Grand Theft Auto reviews and doing a little research before going out and buying this game for a child.
