If you are like me, you are scared to buy a piece of furniture online. I literally spent 4 months shopping for a recliner online and always decided against it because I was scared to death I would get something I would have to try and return. The reason, for me anyway, was because manufacturers just do not give the info that a person needs. Especially for a recliner. Will it fit me? Will it take up too much room? What are the exact sizes? Etc. I mean, how much business do these stores expect to do online if they don't give complete information? That being said I found this recliner and decided to give it a shot after reading a decent review by a guy that said he was 6' 1" and it fit him okay. I want you all to know that this recliner is actually a very decent piece of furniture for the price. I have been really impressed so far. The color is closer to a chocolate brown and truly does look like suede. As far as whether it will fit you, well, I am 6' 1" and weigh 195 pounds with a medium build. I have a 36 inch waist. The chair fits me abosulutely perfect! The arms of this chair are overstuffed and there is sufficient padding in the seat and the back. Not like a Lazboy mind you, but very sufficient for the price. The chair reclines almost flat when fully reclined and my head still stays on the head rest. My feet do not hang over the edge. My feet do not touch the floor when I am seated (and you don't want your feet to stay on the floor in a rocker anyway). I will warn all of you: This chair is a monster in size. It comes in a giant box in 2 pieces and weighs around 98 pounds. Here are a few measurements: Standing in front of the chair from Arm to Arm 41", From the floor to the top of the back 41 1/2", Looking sideways 42". The seat (Where your butt goes) is 22 1/2" from the back to the front and 18" wide. When fully reclined it measures about 69" from the top of the back to the end of the foot rest. I did notice there were people who said the handle was hard to reach. I admit, at first it was until the chair started to get broke in. Now I can actually "fold it up" with my legs, come to a seated position and easily reach the handle to lock the chair. I have noticed a slight spring creak, but I don't mind that at all. All in all, for less than 300 dollars brand new I am not going to complain too much. Trust me, this is much better than what I had before. I would gladly purchase this chair again. I have owned the chair for about 2 weeks now and am very happy. Oh, and as a plus, the shipping company was super nice!

ALTHOUGH it took a zillion years for me to receive it...this is a great rocker/recliner. Not too fancy, but perfect for the nursery. I wanted something to transition into another space in the house after the baby was bigger and this is perfect. Long enough for my six foot husband to use and still comfortable for my short body. I love that it looks more expensive than it was. It was a little hard to get the latches to click into place, as I was pregnant and couldn't help my husband put it together-but with two people it would be easier. Great chair

    • A. The lever is used just for the first few inches to unlock the foot rest. Then the footrest will spring up gently the rest of the way. The same goes for closing the footrest only in reverse. Your legs push the footrest 95% closed then the handle pushed forward locks it in place. Very smooth both ways...takes little pressure as all opening and closing of mechanism is well balanced.

Can you lock all the rocker, glider, spinning, reclining stuff and just use it as a comfy chair that is fixed. That way you can hit it move around etc. without it moving an inch? Also is it comfy just sitting in it as a chair that you can lean back into and watch TV without having to recline to get maximum comfort and no force required to hold it in that position?

    • A. I'm short and I can recline in it without forcing it to stay there. It doesn't spin but it is a rocker. If you're tall enough to sit in it and touch the floor, I think the rocker would stay still.

    • A. It doesnt spin. It wont recline back unless you pull the side lever. Once reclined, you can effectively sit in your favorite position without it sliding around into a different spots.

    • A. You cannot lock the functions. You can only lock it when you fold everything in. Unfortunately you cannot lock it in different positions. The rocker mechanism is not weak, and I find it very comfortable to just sit in... but your feet will not reach the floor. If you are a smaller person you can easily curl your legs up in the seat and sit like that without reclining.

    • A. The chair rocks and does not spin around. You can put it in the sitting position and it is very comfy, and you really can"t lean back and have it stay in place when you are in the locked position. when the feet part is fully extended then you can stretch out. My chair nrever has moved and this is my second one now!

    • A. You cannot lock this chair. You can sit in it upright and rock, you can sit while having your feet up, and then you manually push back to totally recline the chair. It is a very comfortable chair, but the lever is too low, you have to reach to bring the chair back to the unright position.

    • A. once u recline the feet up the rocker does not allow u to rock, however there is no 'lock' in position like youre asking. if u lean back the chair will lean you back farther if u lean forward if will come forward with you. it is very comfortable to sit in and watch tv or read. however if the feet portion isnt reclined the chair rocks back and forth unless you recline with your feet out.

It DOES NOT Swivel. You cannot push the back piece without reclining. Its always straight up unless you recline.
