  • About this item

The As Seen on TV Sobakawa Buckwheat Hull Pillow is uniquely constructed for a restful night's sleep. It's filled with 100-percent premium buckwheat hull that cradles the head and neck. Unlike foam, polyfill and feather pillows, the buckwheat hulls in this queen size pillow allow the free flow of cool air to provide restful and relaxing sleep. The hulls contour the body, providing optimal support, whether you're a side, back or stomach sleeper, aligning the neck and spine. Proper alignment, supported by the As Seen on TV neck pillow can help relieve muscle tension, back ache and head aches, for even greater overall benefits. The pillow has a polyester and cotton blend cover and a 100 percent premium buckwheat fill. At 29" x 19", it will easily fit any standard-size pillowcase for easy use. Handwash as needed; the pillow is not designed to withstand machine washing or drying.

Best pillow I've ever owned. I wasn't so sure about the noise of the buckwheat and the heaviness of the pillow, but after sleeping with it, I will never sleep with anything else.

The Sobakawa Buckwheat Pillow is the best pillow design available. It is one of only a few products that deliver everything that is advertised. A few more things you should know: 1. If you have not been sleeping on a hard pillow, this one will take a few nights to get used to. The first night you might not sleep well. The second night will be a little better. By the fourth or fifth night you will never want another pillow. 2. Buckwheat pillows are not washable. I recommend you get and use a good quality pillow protector - to keep dust, allergens, perspiration and body oil out of the pillow. 3. Be sure to use a large pillow protector and a large pillow case. If one or both are too tight, you will not be able to shape the pillow for the wonderful support it is capable of providing for your head and neck. 4. The queen size pillow is thicker and heavier than the regular pillow. For complete comfort, you only need the thickness of the regular pillow, but it looks small and out of place on a queen size bed. 5. I have been using the regular Sobakawa buckwheat pillow for years. When I decided to replace it with a queen size pillow, I first tried the newer Sobakawa Cloud Pillow. The Cloud Pillow is softer and lighter in weight than the buckwheat pillow, but the support is not near as good. The gusset for your head significantly limits how much you can shape it. After you do shape it, it doesn’t stay in position near as well as the buckwheat pillow. Well, I’ve gone on long enough. Good Luck and Good Sleep.

Have used this pillow for over 10 years now and I am looking to buy my 5th pillow. I used to wake up with the three middle fingers from both hands totally dead and it would take 10 min to get the feeling back, before I could get back to sleep. Since using this pillow this has never happened again. At first a new pillow makes a little noise, but it goes away overtime and it not that bad. This pillow has saved from having to have surgery on my neck. Give it a chance, it may take a week or two to get used to for the first time user.

    • I use a standard size pillow case but it is a fraction too small, I would think that a queen size case would fit just fine

    • I used a queen size pillow case with the regular size buckwheat pillow. You don't want a tight fit, or you will not be able to shape it properly for your head and neck. It might also make the pillow too high to lay on comfortably.

    • It depends on what size pillow you purchase. No special pillow case is needed. However, I wouldn't recommend this product. It is a bean bag stored in a pillow shell. Not comfortable and makes a lot noise when moved or adjusted.

    • The pillow is the same size as the other pillows on our Queen size bed so I used one of them.

    • Yes the regular pillow cases that came in our queen bed sets are the ones we use on our pillows and they fit just fine.

    • It will fit into a standard pillow case, but it has to be stuffed into a standard sized pillow protector (if you use one). That results in a pillow that might be is too high for your comfort. A Queen sized pillow protector works perfectly for me. Then a standard pillow case

    • No. The hulls do not poke through. I will say that my son, who loved his old feather pillow from childhood said this pillow seemed to feel the closest to the way that one felt for being able to scrunch it up and get it comfortable to your head and neck. The only difference I see is that this one stays scrunched where you put it and the feather pillow flattens out too quickly.

    • These hulls are very tiny I did not see them poking through they also smash easily if you put them between your fingers, I prefer the feather pillows

    • I have had mine for about five weeks and so far none have come through the casing. The material is thick and well made. I doubt the hulls would ever come through.

    • No it does not. The buckwheat hulls keep your head cooler than most pillows, especially foam pillows.

    • No the hulls do not poke through. I've been using one for 2+ years.

    • No you can feel the hull's if you pinch the pillow case but they do not poke through. and when you are sleeping on the pillow you just feel a bead type of sensation that you get used to rather quickly.
